  • Considered to be one of the most beautiful lakes in Quebec, Lake Massawippi, in Abenaki  its "the big deep lake". We enjoy a wonderful location between the towns of North Hatley and Ayer's Cliff. A quiet refuge close the action. 20 minutes to Magog.

  • Enjoy the lake on the two person tandem kayak… paddles and life jackets provided.
  • Lounge chairs on the lake level lower deck. Pick up your favorite book and enjoy the cover of trees and the lake breeze. Watch the moon rise! Check the lunar calendar... this is the perfect spot.

  • Complete privacy on this side deck. Enjoy the view across and up the lake towards North Hatley.
  • Bedroom with queen size bed. Sleep well thanks to cool breezes off of the mountain and the added darkness and high thread count cotton sheets.

  • View from the stairs. The lot is about an acre and is treed.
  • Bedroom with Queen sized bed with duvet covering.
  • Bathroom & Laundry: deep stainless steel sink for easy rinsing out of bathing suits.

  • View of the kitchen. There’s a BBQ within view and lots of extras ... blender, small food processor etc... it’s tightly assigned and functional. Help yourself to the herbs… currently basil, sage, mint.

  • This is the view from the covered patio while seated, towards our neighbours to the right. (Quiet folk). There is no view on our neighbours to the left since there is complete privacy afforded by the slope of the terrain.

  • This is a picture at the top of the lake at North Hatley looking south. You may dock your motor boat in town (under the bridge) or at the Government Wharf.
  • During the Fall season, in October and November, the lake is a rest area for thousands of Canada geese and white geese. Big herons and ducks may also be observed.
  • There are several fishing tournaments are held here because of a marked presence of bass, perch and pike. With a surface area of 19 km² it also happens to be one of the deepest in the region, with a depth reaching 76 metres in certain areas.
