Randemar is the typical holiday home where Mallorcans enjoyed their leisure. Situated in a prime location, close to the still virgin coast of Son Serra de Marina, one of the last strongholds still not overrun by mass tourism.
Set on two different floors, the main floor is the top, where we find 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen and a lovely living room with fireplace with large windows over the sea worthy of a cruise.
Downstairs, we find a separate "apartment", ideal for those groups that are seeking private time. This room has a separate entrance, its own entrance and bathroom, along with a small hall.
Complete the ground floor, along with the laundry, a huge porch that leads directly to the sea, where one enjoys without realizing hours of doing nothing, with the only sound of the waves, getting the nice breeze of Son Serra de Marine.
It also has a private outdoor shower which is convenient after spending the day at the beach or after a pleasant walk along the beach.
The small coastal village of Son Serra de Marina is another of those many hidden jewels in Mallorca. Here you will find this charming traditional family house with waterfront great views.
The village of Son Serra de Marina developed in the early 1950's when houses were built for Mallorquins to spend their weekends away from the busy cities.
At the time local regulations insisted that they respected the local way of life and culture, including men and women not bathing together. This has now changed!
It is an ideal location for anybody wanting a relaxing holiday.
It is also ideal for those people who enjoy walking, as there are excellent walks to both the east and west of Son Serra de Marina.
To the west, the walk along the coast takes you to C’an Picafort, which is the nearest large town, and to the east, the walk along the coast takes you to the nearby village of Colonia Sant Pere.
Whilst it is not recognised as a holiday destination, Son Serra de Marina does however, attract a lot of day visitors during the Summer months who take to the beach or stroll around the streets visiting the bars and restaurants which, considering the size of the town, are in abundance. Notably the Bar/Restaurant Es Mollet, which is situated on the Marina (Club Nautico Serranova). Although quite surprisingly there are only two shops and a chemist (Farmacía) in the town.
The beach is 400 metres long and partly sandy, partly man made. But either end of the town are the beaches of Son Real and Sa Canova. Both are beautiful unspoilt beaches and both have facilities for naturalists. Son Real can be reached by walking along the coast beyond the Marina while Sa Canova beach joins up with the eastern end of Son Serra de Marina, just beyond the Sunset Bar.
