Single shepherds hut, comfy bed, warm and cosy with solar and electric lighting and a peaceful setting is just the place to unwind before a day exploring North Cornwall, with a radiator for a bit of heat in the evenings and a woodstove for the coldest of days, hot water bottle and extra blankets if required .
Lots of cds and books are there to make your stay cosy whatever the weather.
Breakfast is huge too, and is bought to the hut,
The heated bathroom is a short distance away and is shared.
This is a beautiful shepherds hut, with mains electric and solar powered electricity is a special place with abundant wildlife and peace and quiet! There is no wifi but there is incredibly fast phone connections and it's a good place to get away from the fast pace of modern life. We have a lot of owls of all kinds and you may be lucky enough to see our resident barn owl. We also have a lot of hedgehogs wandering about after dark!
The hut is in a convenient position for access to the north and south Cornish coast and only 20 mins by car from the Eden project.
A shared bathroom with all facilities, beautiful grounds and gardens.

As much interaction as you want..... We are really friendly!
The lovely little bathroom is in the garden a short distance away and is shared with the other hut. It is cleaned and tidied every day and has all the usual facilities, but is not the perfect ensuite type bathroom.

Val & Pete Grainger and family have lived in the West of England for many years and both are qualified in Countryside Management and have an enthusiasm for the natural world second to none. They have both worked in community development and Pete works as an ecologist for part of the time.
They are both committed to quality and environmental sustainability and no stone is unturned looking for lovely food produced and sourced locally for you to eat.
Bedrooms (but not the bell tent)have antique and traditional beds with antique or 100% cotton sheets in the double aspect room.
They keep Geese, ducks, turkeys and hens and their bees are busy pollinating the many flowers in the pretty gardens. Water comes from a bore hole and is beautifully clean and fresh and much of the electricity comes from the 4kw array of solar panels in the back paddock!
Berry Lane Cottage is also a Permaculture LAND learning centre and there are often courses and volunteering opportunities.
