This is a bright, colorful double bedroom ideal for visitors to New York or Southern New England. 3rd floor location provides privacy. Bathroom may be shared with another guest. We do not accept smokers.
This is a bright and sunny bedroom suite with separate bathroom on the 3rd floor of my large family home in Old Greenwich, Connecticut.
The room has double bed with television set/cable/dvd player and a sitting area. The bathroom has a tub and shower and a washer/dryer.
If the adjoining room is rented, you may find yourself sharing the bathroom. I strive to confine this circumstance to guests of the same gender but it is not always possible. Use of the washer/dryer is confined to guests staying 3 or more days.
On the second floor there is a small table where guests can look out over the front garden, eat, read or have their morning coffee and tea which are provided. A small fridge is located here for your use. Meals are not included.
There is street parking but a car is not essential.
You are welcome to eat at our kitchen table or on our back deck in good weather.

I work from home so during the day I am available to answer quick questions but cannot take time from my work day for socializing, unfortunately. Of course I always like to get to know our visitors on arrival.
The owners are highly sensitive to the smell of smoke therefore we regret that we cannot offer our home to smokers. We do not allow pets. Please do not ask. There are an abundance of tables in our home, please do not eat on upholstered furniture or on the bed. You must recycle paper, cardboard, plastic and metal bottles, cans and take out containers. Rinse all materials containing food or drink before depositing in the recycle bin. Wet towels must be hung on towel rack. Do not put on furniture or bed. Guests should recognize they are staying in a family home.

I am a writer, blogger and a published author of aviation-related books, a married woman in my sixties. I have four grown children. I live in Connecticut and travel about 6 months out of the year for work, usually on my own.
My first time using airbnb was in Abu Dhabi in 2011. Since then I've used it all over the world. In 2012, I became an airbnb host at my home in a New York city suburb and also at 2 Berkshire Mountain vacation properties in Litchfield County, Connecticut. I'm now honored to be a superhost.
When people "get it" that this is a home stay, not a hotel, the experience can be fantastic.
I have met some amazing people and stayed in some amazing homes. I am airbnb's biggest fan.
