A lovely historic house with a magnificent garden and a swimming pool. You can eat all your meals on the terrace outside. A great base for hiking and trekking trips, conveniently close to lake Bled.
Apartment in the basement of a historic villa in the region of Gorenjsko.
The apartment, cca. 38 m2, has one bedroom (12,5 m2) with a 150 cm double bed and a fully equipped kitchen/living room (23,5 m2, with ceramic plate cooker, electric oven, fridge), with a single bed. The apartment also has a bathroom with a large shower and a separate WC. It is located in the basement of the house and I thought this would be its weakest point. But actually, it turned out to be an advantage during the summer months, as it allows the rooms to remain agreeably cool even without air-conditioning. Besides, you need not worry that it is damp - it is not, not even during winter months. As for the general feeling: the windows in the main room are tall and let in a lot of daylight. The flat shares the main entrance to the house, but then, in the porch, there is a separate entrance for it, and you will have your own key that will allow you to come and go, independently from the rest of the house. The flat is spacious and cosy, ideal for a couple on retreat. If necessary we can also arrange the third bed in the living room. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden with an open-air swimming pool. Alas the swimming pool is only operational during summer months, for obvious reasons :-). The apartment was completely renovated in 2010, but as this is a historic house we have left in two wood stoves (still functioning!) and the old wood-panelled floor. I hope this description is detailed enough, but don't hesitate to ask any further questions - I will be happy to answer them.
