Many thanks for the feedback Dawna-
As regards being positive and open,
i fully agree
I do appreciate every religion, culture and creed and say that In Australia we have had such a variety that we need to learn behaviors to better integrate all into the community-
Many Australians travel overseas after their gap year and i do believe this opens ones eyes to the world around us and makes us very respectful.
My point is to be open to all and see rather than to be closed- perhaps a re-interpretation of seeing all views that everyone shares -not just one group,
may be a helpful explanation for you.
Perhaps a play on words may have been misinterpreted here.
Especially from a teacher's perspective there are so many ways to feel empathy and be helpful which i fully endorse from my experience
especially as a teacher.
All community groups have their views which i fully appreciate and take on board.i enjoy the differences - as mentioned to you.
As for the sharing of a bathroom-
I did say on the blurb that there is 1 bathroom and it depends on how many guests are in at the time-it may be 1 or just you-
and mentioned that at the same time you booked a few others had as well but as everyone had different work times it hasn't ever been a problem.
I do not mention an en-suite - or separate bathroom for any room,
i always say it is shared.
Perhaps asking me or reading the blurb before would be helpful, for you to understand and enjoy- it was never a bathroom for single use -and this is made quite clear.
As for the older style Victorian homes/rooms they do have very high ceilings, and whilst i do have a cobweb catcher- sometimes i can not see all things up so high.
They are cleaned frequently but maybe there was a particular time the windows had been opened and with the northerly winds sometimes it can occur.
most guests love this aspect of the house and enjoy seeing the Victorian homes with such high ceilings and enjoy the open feeling, and don't mind a cobweb or so.
Sometimes if other guests leave a plate or glass inside the cupboard without being so clean, I can't see what they have done ,
but with a community reminder people are happy to check after themselves,
but if they are busy I constantly check as they are in constant use.
It really depends on how clean some of the other guests are i suppose-
but all cleanliness, time, consideration, respect and manners are kept to the best that can be utilized for all here at the time.
As it is shared i am always on the lookout for anything else that i need to do
and happily do so-
but others may not be so- which is human.
As its not a hotel-
and whilst the utmost care and consideration is taken of EVERY GUEST
sometimes people forget to do things as i'm sure you also have done,
and as i am in and out can't possibly see what everyone else is doing or not doing.
Just a place to rest you said-
I hope you enjoyed the very restful sleep you had on the bed with solid slates as you mentioned
some things are just perfect as you say
and sometimes things that others use don't matter to them as i would have done for my standard-
but do know that this is a reflection of them not me.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your travels.
