Manor House Cottage is a hidden gem nestled on the Buckinghamshire - Oxfordshire border, just ten minutes from Bicester Village and twenty minutes from Oxford city centre.
It comfortably sleeps four, but also has a double sofa bed in the sitting room, which can be used as additional sleeping for another couple, if required.
It is a home from home for families and couples alike!
Open plan ground floor with a large flagstone floor kitchen (perfect for kitchen suppers!) and a cosy sitting area with three sofas (perfect for snuggling up!).
Upstairs, the large double room has a comfy king size bed, dressing table and en suite shower room with a basin and loo. The twin room has two single beds and an en suite bathroom with a bath, basin and loo.
The cottage is attached to the Manor House and is set within spacious gardens on the edge of the pretty village of Piddington and overlooks an orchard and a beautiful old barn.
Jake and Lucy live next door and are happy to help out with local knowledge whenever necessary.
Guests will have full and sole use of the cottage save for a locked cupboard here and there, which we use for storage.
To the front of the cottage is a small garden for the exclusive use of guests. Guests are welcome to make use of other areas of the gardens too, though these will be shared with our two lively children and equally lively pets!
There is a small stream that runs nearby the cottage, which guests need to be aware of if they have small children, as it is not fenced off.

Most of the time, we will be on hand to help with whatever needs may arise, and are only too happy to advise on local country pubs, restaurants and taxi companies etc.
Kitchen equipment includes:
We normally have a pretty good internet speed and wifi signal throughout the cottage. If guests have any connection issues we ask them to let us know as soon as possible, as we can normally do something about it quite quickly.
We have a basic Sky TV package, but can arrange to have pay per view programmes (e.g. sports events) to be made available if required. Please let us know in advance of your stay if this is something you might require and please note that this would incur an additional charge.
In no particular order:
Please strip the beds and load the dishwasher when you leave.
If there are any problems large or small, or breakages or damages, please let us know as soon as possible.
Please use the chopping boards provided. Cutting food directly on the counter tops will scratch and damage them.
Jake and Lucy are the on site agents for Peter Maynard, whose family has lived in Manor House for fifty years.
We are a family of four, with three dogs and a cat. We love travelling the world, eating well, seeing friends and meeting new people.
We're a pretty active family and love sports and games of any type (especially hide and seek in long grass!), though bliss is kicking back with a glass of rose in the garden before sunset.
