Our spacious studio comfortably fits two and is very centrally located. It rests in a quiet street, yet within walking distance to restaurants, cafes, shops, clubs and sight seeing tours. Fully equipped kitchen and a large patio. Enjoy your stay!
A newly renovated studio apartment in the city centre on the first floor of a small and well maintained apartment building.
Free wireless internet.
Towels are provided. Just add soap.
The FlyBus+ from the airport sometimes stops right outside the house. Just show the driver the address and he will be able to tell you wether he can let you off there or at the nearest hotel or guesthouse, just steps away.
Would you like to explore the city centre? People-, bird- or whalewatch? Catch cod, glimpse God (go to church)? Club hop? Visit museums and galleries? Dine and wine at Iceland's best restaurants? Without ever stepping onto a bus or taxi? Then, this is the place for you.
The studio is located in the oldest part of Reykjavik, on the outskirt of a charming and quiet little neighborhood called Grjotathorp (Stone village). The first settlers of Iceland actually built their houses just a stone throw away.
It is very easy to find a street parking by the building or near the building. The cost is $10 for a full day. Metering times are from 10am to 6pm weekdays, 1pm to 4pm on Saturdays. Sundays are free.
There are two "7-11" grocery stores around the corner in each direction.
Guests will have access to everything they need in order to stay comfortably. For even more comfort I have installed an Apple TV in the living room with Netflix and the other channels that come with it.

When we bought the apartment, it was decorated as a late 70's early 80's law firm. We opted for the original 30's style, still visible behind thick layers of wallpaper, fake palisander boards and paint. It was sad to see the palisander go, there is something charming about it. Changing the law firm to an apartment was not difficult as it was originally built as an apartment and not business.
