Thanks for your feedback. We feel sorry that the place did not meet your expectations. It happens. However, we feel that your very bad review is not justified. As mentioned clearly in our description we offer an apartment in a private house not a private villa. It is also mentioned that the apartment is located 50 meters away from the beach. Further, it is stated that we are living in the top floor of the house and you were the first guest ever complaining about noise, although there was nobody in the house during the day apart from the cleaning lady.
That the beach at the time of your visit had corals is because you were visiting at a time of 'low tide' shore. If you prefer ‘high tight’ all the time you choose the wrong place to visit to begin with. Everybody knows that Zanzibar has strong tights and that one can cut its feet while walking barefoot on coral. This has nothing to do with our place.
Also seaweed is normal on a coast that does seaweed farming. If you are sensitive to sea smells you might not want to visit Zanzibar's east-coast beaches. Yes, you are right we are building on the beach but only deal with minor finishing works of the place that one can hardly hear. Also, you chose to pass the construction side everyday there are certainly a dozen of other ways to get to a the wide range of beach spots.
Regarding the fact that you hear Muslim prayers and chicken, let me highlight, that you choose to visit an Islamic island and to stay in the country side. What did you expect? You will hear Muslim prayers everywhere on Zanzibar. Again this has nothing to do with the apartment as such.
As for the shopping, in our email communication, I mentioned clearly that it would be good to bring all necessary groceries if you want to self-cater. Besides, Msuli offered many times to go shopping with you. He also offered breakfast which you denied. Related to the Wifi, do not come to Africa and expect high speed western internet in a very remote area. The 3G works very well for us.
We regret that you did not cancel your stay with us at the early stages. Msuli tried his very best to organize everything for you to make sure you have an unforgettable stay.
Nevertheless, we wish you best of luck with the right choice for future vacation spots and a happy festive season,
Ina & Msuli
