This is an unacceptable review on several levels so I will counter each of them for the benefit of those choosing to stay here in future, first communication is my top priority, therefore I have a host manager that lives 1 minute from the house that touches base with each guest if I am travelling ( which I was when you arrived) Joanne left you a message with her phone number. I also have a direct line. You chose to text me late in the night that you were leaving next day on an emergency . I did not receive text. You state I did not answer for 48 hours. In fact you left without notice by phone. On Saturday I contacted you Sunday after you started asking for $$$ back( not because of dissatisfaction you claimed an emergency. You commited to a three day rental which is my minimum stay. I did refund you $140, within 24 hours.
To see this post after is an insult to my home and amenities. I just arrived here myself, there is no trace of odor including musty upon entry, the amenities are over and above the suggested basic needs of guests including coffee and kitchen starters, shampoo, soap, ect.and more than plentiful for a three night stay. This is a small cottage with small kitchen meant for light meals, morning coffee and travel comfort. This is a cottage not a resort.. therefore table in kitchen has ample space. The beds are not $1000 category but are clean and sanitized using ultra violet ray between each guest.
in fact one mattress is brand new replaced in November. I am now suspect as to your motive and am hurt by your attack on my home. I take pride in ownership and have until now maintained a 5 star rating as can be found by reading 1005 of past reviews.
