Hello and welcome to my home. I am single and have lived in New York City, both Manhattan and Brooklyn, for a total of 26 years -- that's more than half my life. I have traveled throughout the European Union and Southeast Asia extensively. I live in New York because I consider it to be one of the most exciting destinations to be. I moved to Brooklyn 5 years ago because I was looking for a change and I wanted the trendy, movie set-like feel that Park Slope, Brooklyn provides. I enjoy fine dining and trendy boutique shops -- Hello 5th and 7th avenues!... your neighbors when you stay in my home.
I have a degree in Biochemistry and a Masters in Finance. I am retired from a career on Wall Street as a derivatives trader (yes, I know... evil). I love animals and I devote my time to helping rescue groups find homes for our canine friends. I am a gourmet cook thanks to a few years in culinary school. I love outdoor adventures; I've recently taken up the sport of kite boarding (think flying a kite with a wake board attached to your feet). I live part-time in Gold Beach, Oregon on a mountain overlooking the famous Rogue River and the Pacific coast. Please stay tuned for this listing as well -- the beauty is heart-stopping.
My life philosophy is to be as present as possible (Now, Eckhart Tolle) and to be kind and helpful to my fellow human beings. I have carried this view to my tenant relationships as a landlord, and it will be carried to you as my guest. I look forward to hosting you here on airbnb.com. So, be my guest -- I am committed to providing you with a wonderful experience!
