This mid-century modern home is comfortably situated in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by trees and is private - it is not actually a "treehouse" though seems like it in its natural surroundings. It is near many interesting landmarks in the town, including: St.Johnsbury Academy, the Athenaeum, and the world famous Fairbanks Natural History Museum and Planetarium.

This unique home is raised off street level, with wide, easy steps to the main living area. Large windows looking out to trees and views of rooftops in the neighborhood provide lovely light year round.

Guests have private access from the street level to a spacious suite with private bath; during this time of COVID and need to make guests comfortable and self-contained, the is a studio-style simple kitchenette with double hotplate, refrigerator and sufficient equipment to prepare meals for oneself.

There are times the main floor of the house will not be available to guest. Access to the guest suite may be made via the street level egress.

Comfortably situated in a lovely neighborhood near many interesting landmarks in the town, including: St.Johnsbury Academy, The Athenaeum - home of the famous Bierstadt painting, "Domes of Yosemite" - and the world famous Fairbanks Natural History Museum and Planetarium. Catamount Arts has an interesting listing of films and special free films, from time to time. Saturday is Farmer's Market day, with local produce, cheese, breads and artisan crafts.

If you are looking for a description of me, you would definitely find me in the "foodie" category. Not that I'm a fabulous cook, but do enjoy finding interesting places to eat - a good thing because I love to travel. Here are a few places I have visited: France, England, Ireland, Sweden, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Hawaii, Jamaica, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, Thailand, and of course Canada often; St. Johnsbury Vermont is only an hour from Quebec. Last summer my travel was all about family in the US due to COVID restrictions. Traveled to Longmont, Colorado towing a newly acquired 16' camper. It has everything one needs to be a "pod". It was a first for me! And wow! I'm looking forward to summer 2021 to explore, if possible. COVID has changed almost everything for most of us, I'm no exception as so many activities are not possible at this time. I have been a member of Rotary International, and a Docent in the Athenaeum's Gallery - the home of the famous "Domes of Yosemite" by Albert Bierstadt. In addition to volunteering, my interests include: art, design, fashion, shoes, study, creating community engagement, and cultivating peace.

Guests may interact with me as your host, or feel free to independently come and go, as one wishes. There is a well behaved hypoallergenic dog in the house; she will only visit guest areas if invited.
