Thank you for bringing your misunderstanding to our attention.
When our guests, Petter Hauffman & girlfriend, inquired about staying at this wonderful 5 Star Resort, they were told the legal requirement to charge tax for their stay as stated clearly in the Airbnb advertisement. Petter, perhaps being from outside the US, did not understand that this is mandatory in the USA. He choice to give us his information to charge the necessary tax and he thanked us for booking him in the property.
Petter also opted by choice to have secured garaged parking throughout his stay. This is not required but optional.
It is unfortunate that Petter believes he was charged $200 in taxes. This is entirely inaccurate. The tax amount was told to him PRIOR to his stay. He did have the option of cancelling but did not choice to do so if he did not want to pay tax requirements.
I am sure he had a wonderful time and we wish him the best with his future stays.
Next time, we do suggest, he clearly reads the description of the places he plans to stay, as it seems he travels throughout the US using Airbnb's.
