This is the ultimate haven for respite from modern life: it's the perfect retreat for creative inspiration, with breathtaking views and a super-tranquil atmosphere: go look at the reviews and photos!
The Arthouse is a collection of wonderful rooms, situated deep in the heart of the old town. There are SPECTACULAR views from windows and balconies, out over the valley with its grape vines and olive groves, towards Monte Taburno.
Your rooms are all very unique spaces; the master bedroom is the largest room in the house, with a queen-sized bed, a large sofa, coffee table and amazing balcony. It is separated from the other part of the house (where kitchen and bathrooms are) by a communal corridor.
There is an additional platform double bed in the back of this room, accessed by a ladder, so the rooms can house up to 4 people, if you are two couples, or with children.
The rooms/ whole house are ideal for artists, writers or professional folks seeking a safe space to recuperate from modern life. The Arthouse is also a significant piece of history in the town, with stucco arches and vaulted ceilings, as well as other gorgeous architectural details.
The arthouse is based on deep ethical, ecological and spiritual values. Good vibes and positive energy, all round.
Once you're booked, I will send you an ebook version of THE INSIDER'S GUIDE TO GUARDIA SANFRAMONDI book, which gives full details of how to get here, and how to get around town and really enjoy the place.
The climate here is very sunny, and can be warm even on winter days. July through to September can be especially deliciously as the zone comes into its element. People often eat out in the street, and life is really rather idyllic! (I tend not to rent the house in winter.)
The house was featured on House Hunters International in 2012 and HHI's 'Where Are They Now?' in 2013.
I'm an Airbnb Super Host, with 100% feedback from guests since 2012 - I even hold the keys to the city, and am 'la protagonista' who inspired the new, international enthusiasm for the previously-abandoned medieval quarter!
The kitchen has a gas cooker with 4 hobs, a big fridge, and a big table with 4-6 chairs.
The washing machine is in the cantina (cellar) second bathroom.
The first bathroom has a wet-room style shower, and the second bathroom downstairs has a bath.
High speed wifi is available in your master bedroom.

As one of the main protagonists in Guardia's current social-cultural-economic renaissance, I can provide profound insight into customs and practises in the town, as well as advising you as to who is trustworthy, and who is less so.
My interaction with guests has been very full in the past, but these days I'm occupied with the creation of an online art school, and so spend less time out and about with guests - and appreciate bookings from more autonomous folks. Contact me for precise dates, or to make a suggestion of when you'd like to visit - I only lease to particular people who are compatible with the ideals of the house - like my Patreon patrons.
However, I am always be available to guests, and am able to provide support and advice throughout their visit.
You'll be sent a complimentary copy of the ebook THE INSIDER'S GUIDE TO GUARDIA SANFRAMONDI when you make your booking: it'll give you huge insight into the town and culture - and explain how to get here easily and cheaply.
The Arthouse is only available to folks who appreciate deep spiritual and ecological values!
My Patreon patrons get priority on bookings.
The house has a peaceful and healing atmosphere, which I hope all guests will both benefit from and contribute to...
Absolutely NO partying, drinking of excessive alcohol, raised voices, etc.
The whole house will only be let out whilst my partner and I are travelling: just contact me to propose a set of dates - we are open to discussion! :-)
The house is quirky and medieval in places! Your patience with this is appreciated :-) It requires attention to windows and doors, especially in summer and winter, when the natural medieval air conditioning can be taken advantage of: instructions given on arrival.
Unfortunately, there is no disabled access to the house - we are reached by steep steps.
The town has a great recycling policy, with most waste materials being collected from the door: you are asked to arrange all your waste plastic, metal, compost and paper in appropriate buckets.
The hospitality in Guardia Sanframondi is tremendous.
I come from a small island on the west coast of Scotland, and now work location-independently - between Scotland, Africa, Italy, Canada...
One of my favourite quotes is 'there is no way to happiness, happiness is the way'.
The Arthouse has been at the core of the renaissance movement in Guardia Sanframondi - I am the protagonist which started the movement: and am the sole holder of the Keys To The City.
The house is a container for multifarious creative and cultural activities. It also has a strong spiritual ethos :-)
My artwork involves painting, writing, making things, transforming spaces and inspiring people to live their dreams - in 2016-17, my main focus will be the Live Like A Happy Artist book series.
I love the lifestyle in this part of rural Italy: the pace of life, the people, the quality of light, the wild landscapes. I use my arthouse as a place of nourishment and retreat - a place to grow strength and be inspired artistically.
I wrote an Insider's Guide To Guardia, which gives a unique insight into life in the town as a straniera.
