Large, bright room with a balcony on a quiet street.
Bright, spacious three-room apartment, one room furnished as a study, one as a living/dining room with double sofa bed and one as a bedroom with an antique four-poster double bed. Double doors, decorative moldings, hardwood floors in all rooms except the kitchen and bath, which are tiled. Eat-in kitchen and bathroom with bathtub and washing machine. There is also a wrought iron balcony with access from the room where you will be staying.
The apartment is on the second floor of a well-maintained typical Berlin building from the 1890s, on a quiet but not boring street just a few minutes walk from S-Julius-Leber-Brücke on the so-called Red Island. There are lots of shops, restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance.
The apartment is furnished with antiques, so I welcome guests who appreciate and know how to take care of nice things! The kitchen is fully equipped, including a gas stove and microwave, as well as a dishwasher
The guests will stay in the living room, which has a comfortable double sofa bed. They are welcome to use the kitchen if they are reasonably tidy and naturally the bathroom.

I work at home and am there most of the time during the week (often not on the weekends) to answer questions. I am happy to give information about the neighborhood and Berlin.
There are currently two small, very friendly dogs living in the flat, so you must really like dogs to stay here!! It may be possible for guests to bring a dog but that will need to be discussed in advance to see whether your dog is likely to get along with mine!
Smoking is allowed only on the balcony. Since I work in the flat I would ask that people keep the noise to a minimum!
I am an American who has been living in Berlin for many years and I work as a freelance translator. I have one dog of my own and a foster dog and they are both very friendly, so if you would like some canine companionship along with a lovely room, this is the place for you! I work from home so I am usually around to answer your questions about Berlin.
