This nicely furnished, newly renovated apt is very sunny, and spacious with 8 windows. The appliances are fairly new. There are two flat screen TVs, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, laptop computer, Wi-fi, and high speed internet as well as a printer. The floors are wood thru out the apt. The large living room and bedroom are separated by a nice corridor. The living room has two sofas, and is very comfortable. Doors in all rooms, and lots of privacy. Lots of books and CDs. There is a bathroom with a tub, and a separate toilet. We have a new wood burning fireplace in the living room.
Wonderful views of the Keizersgracht Canal and Wester Church in front, and trees and gardens in back.
The apt is in a historic area, as well as a very convenient one. It is two blocks from the Anne Frank House. The neighborhood is filled with cafes, and restaurants, with a supermarket next door. There are also neighborhood shops like a laundry, cheese shop, etc. We are a few blocks from the Dam.
There are 3 tram lines, and several bus lines right in front of the building.. We are 5 blocks from the wonderful Saturday Noordemarket.(organic market)The museum area is about a 20 minute walk or a 10 minute bus ride.
It is a 10 minute tram ride to Central Station, and from there about 25 minutes on the train to Schipol airport.
We have two very good friends who live a few blocks away, and take care of the apt. They will meet you with the keys, and explain how everything works. They are wonderfully helpful, and know the apartment well. They are almost always available should there be any problems.
We have been renting the apartment for about 10 years, but the reviews are not current since most of the renters come from a different website, not Airbnb as they did at the beginning.

I was born in Amsterdam, and my husband and I go every 2-3 years. We usually stay with family but this time around we decided to rent an apt., as we were planning on staying in Amsterdam for 3 weeks. I had contacted a few rental properties, but for some reason I had a good feeling about this apt. and the owner Joan was always so fast with replying to a question I had regarding the apt. Great, great customer service. The apt. was wonderful. Clean, very comfortable, and talking about location, it could not of been better, as I know Amsterdam. From all the times we have been in Amsterdam I would have to say this was the best because of this wonderful apt., and corresponding with Joan. Sylvia and Veto who gave us the keys and showed us around the apt. are also wonderful and very helpful. We will be back and will definitely be renting this apt. again. Like I said, this apt. is our new home away from home. Thank you Joan, you have a gem of an apt.

This is our seventh visit to Amsterdam. This apartment is the closest to being home that we have experienced. The owners were very responsive and Sylvia and Vito the local contacts are jewels. Thanks Our next trip to Amsterdam will be only when this apartment is available. This apartment and its location will be memories we will never forget. The month spent here was our best vacation ever.

The location could not have been any better. Being in the Jordaan made it so convenient for us to walk or take the tram anywhere in the city. From the living room window you can view The Westerkerk church (where Rembrandt is buried) & the Keisergracht canal. The apartment has everything you need plus the building has an elevator, which a lot of canal homes do not have, so you don't have any stairs to climb with luggage or groceries. We stayed for 5 weeks & loved every minute. I would not hesitate to stay there again. Thank you Joan for your help while I was planning our trip & to your friend Sylvia who met us in Amsterdam.

My husband and I stayed in this lovely flat for two and one half weeks in April. We have been traveling to Amsterdam for the past 29 years and this apartment, owned by Joan and Neil, was one of the most beautiful we have encountered. The fine art and furnishings are straight out of the pages of an Architectural Digest with a designer kitchen and a quite, garden-view bedroom. Trams are just downstairs to take you anywhere you want to go in the city and the market is just next door. The owners are extremely accommodating and friendly. If you are lucky enough to stay in this Amsterdam flat, you will experience Amsterdam like a local. You will also appreciate the wifi capability for your own laptop or the computer in the apartment along with the washer and dryer. It just doesn't get any better than this!
