I, (Grace) have lived in California since 1968 when I came to attend art school in Oakland. While I was born in San Francisco, I was raised in the Philippines since the age of 3. I now divide my time between my home in Oakland, where I live with my partner of 24 years, and my daughter's home in Sebastopol for my weekly overnight visits to babysit my grand daughter.
I love dogs and have two cockapoos, Angus and Abbe. I retired from UC Santa Cruz in July 2013 and love retirement! Prior to my work at UCSC, I was a business professional in the high tech sector; most notably with Autodesk, Inc. where I was the 60th employee hired in Autodesk's first year. I left Autodesk after 15 years.
I love to travel and early in 2014 visited Colombia, Panama, Aruba, Curacao, Costa Rica and visited my family in the Philippines during the entire month of January. In 2015 we travelled to Amsterdam, Northern Europe/Baltic and Poland and finally used AirBnB ourselves. This year we traveled to Spain and Portugal and cruised from Lisbon to Dublin.
My partner Lucia is originally from Grove City, Western Pennsylvania; a small town about 60 miles from Pittsburgh. She moved to CA in 1982 after 15 years as an inner city elementary school teacher in Columbus, OH.
With her background in education, since moving to CA she held various positions in training in a business environment and since 1988 worked in educational publishing sales.
She has been retired since 2001 and keeps busy with a variety of activities; bocce, bowling, golf, gardening. Ditto recent travel as per Grace's above. She looks forward to meeting you and being able help you find your way around if needed. She has lived on San Sebastian since 1984. She too has a cockapoo, Lilly.
