We offer a quiet space in the middle of Fayetteville - a private downstairs bedroom, with its own private access and bathroom. Queen bed and pull-out futon can sleep up to 4. Our space is eclectic, fun, and homey - not a pristine, cold hotel!
Sleeping accommodations include a memory-foam topped queen bed and microfiber pull-out futon (which can accommodate another 1-2, although less comfortable than the bed) and wardrobe to hang your clothes. A small fridge with mini-freezer and a microwave are provided in your room, but you are also free to use our kitchen!
Wireless internet and use of the washer/dryer are available. No tv in room (we don't have cable).
Spacious downstairs private bathroom with large cast iron bathroom and shower. Toiletries and fresh towels are provided. (Please note - the bathroom is not directly adjoining the bedroom, but is just around the corner through the main portion of the house!)
Our home is eclectic and fun. We try to be very conscientious about cleanliness and clutter in other shared areas of the house, but hope our guests understand that the remainder of the house apart from your room and bathroom is a lived-in space (and we both work more than full-time jobs!)
We are foodies and happy to share meals and conversations or leave you to your privacy, as desired. We can accommodate breakfast [i.e. quality coffee, cereal, toast, oatmeal, organic fresh eggs from our urban backyard chickens, etc. (breakfast is usually DIY on weekdays; but weekends allow us more time in the kitchen to cook if you have the time)]. Just let us know!
Please note we have very friendly cats on the premises! They are not normally allowed in the room -- but as they have access to the rest of the house, this may not be adequate for folks with severe allergies to pets.
We're close to campus for calling the hogs at Razorback games or otherwise visiting the University of Arkansas. Easy access to/from the interstate for those visiting Crystal Bridges Art Museum (30 minutes north) or spending time at Devil's Den state park (20 minutes south). We're also located very near downtown Fayetteville for events at the Walton Arts Center, a night out on Dickson Street (approximately 1.2 miles away via car, slightly more if walking the bike/pedestrian trail by our house) or the historic downtown square, and fun festivals such as Springfest, the Cheese Dip Classic, and Bikes, Blues, and BBQ.
Guests have access to the lower level of the house, including the kitchen, dining area, and utility room area (if you need to do laundry), in addition to the guest bedroom and bathroom.

We absolutely love to interact with our guests and hear your stories. However, we also respect your privacy for those who wish to keep to themselves. We are happy to give you as much advice on the local area as you need/want.

No smoking in house. Key to be returned upon departure.
If you have any issues during your stay, please don't be shy and let us know!
We are child and infant friendly, but parents please note that our listing is not "child proofed". We also take travelers with pets on a case-by-case basis.
My husband and I are located in the middle of Fayetteville, where our jobs, gardening, urban chickens, and other hobbies (such as beer/mead brewing and cheesemaking) keep us busy. I own a cheesemaking business and am currently working part-time as a civil engineering (water resources). We enjoy cooking/eating and bartending/drinking. Our goal in hosting is to provide a friendly, reasonably priced place for travelers and to meet interesting people in the process.
