Two-story guesthouse: 2 bedrooms (King /full beds) and double futon, single bathroom. Cathedral ceilings and big windows give lots of light and a unique feel. Air conditioning/heat. Table/chairs on the back patio allow outside living. Off st. pkg.
La Casita is 1000 square feet, with saltillo tile floors, bamboo flooring in the loft, and cathedral ceilings. A beautifully tiled island separates the kitchen from the living room, with a small bay window breakfast room. Come stay in a lovely space with a grand feeling to it!
The guesthouse is behind the owners house, separated by a fence (to keep our BIG dogs out). There is off street parking if you wish, otherwise you will have a bit larger yard to use in the back.
Although the house is near downtown, it is very quiet. It has Wi-Fi, an HDTV and a Blu-Ray/DVD player. The DVD player has many popular apps on it, including Netflix which I know is a favorite. Owners are hiking nuts, so any information needed about various trails etc. will be available.
Please smoke outside of the house only. You will find the house clean: please leave it clean as well! Please leave any laundry in the washer, we will run the load. And finally, please wash your dishes!
Other than that, there are two doors from your small yard to our yard. Please leave these closed, as we have dogs. They are fabulous dogs, and we are more than happy to let you meet them. But we need them to stay in our yard!
Because of our dogs, we would prefer no pets (certainly no cats!) but talk to us about this!
I will be in the front house or at work while the guests are present. You will have my cellphone, and work is about 10 minutes away and pretty flexible, so I am very available if needed.
I am a bilingual (E/Span.) public school advocate and activist, love hiking and traveling, dogs and plants. I was a landscaper for much of my life. My motto is "Todo cambia" (everything changes)...and those changes are worth working for. I like to believe that I say yes before no, and try to be flexible. I am, as my 14 year old says, "over-social": in other words, I like people!
