The Douglas Fir Lodge is a 5,000 square foot, two story, handcrafted log house. This spaciously designed log house sleeps 18 and is situated in the heart of summit county just 5 minutes from the Keystone/Dillon exit of I70.
We are a ski and snow-loving family from Austin, Texas. Having a mountain log house was always a dream of ours. We felt in love with the house the first time we saw it. The house is beautifully constructed of Douglas Fir logs trucked down from Canada. It was designed with mountain vacation in mind with plenty of living and sleeping areas to get cozy after a long day outdoors. If you like the winter, you will find the summer even better. The house backs up to National Forest, making hiking or cross country skiing available right out the back door. You might see moose, deer, fox and the occasional bear from your window. Really!
