Ashley, I am sorry you experienced issues during your stay. I would like to point out that you stayed at our cottage during the 2018 Canada day weekend which was during the worst ever recorded heat wave for that period. You failed to mention this fact in your review which I believe is important since no one as ever complained about the temperatures when staying at our cottage. As for the access to the lake, we have young children ourselves and no one as ever complained about the access. The path is a natural trail down to the lake which is only a few meters from the house. It is also important to note that the municipal rules prohibit any modifications of the waterfront which is protected so we can't install stairs to walk down to the dock. There is also a grass beach which is a short walk from the chalet and can be enjoyed by guests and is easily accessible to people with physical impairments. As far as the issues, you are probably referring to the fact that you ran out of propane. There are supposed to be two tanks at all times but one was missing (probably stolen) and we had a new one delivered to you within an hour of getting your message. As far as the heat goes, unfortunately we could not go out and buy fans during the Canada day since everything is closed. We have since bought fans in case another record setting heat wave hits the Laurentians.
