We were blessed to host you in our house for a very affordable price. We were sorry that we were not able to provide you the room based on your preference/liking. However, we appreciate greatly if you could have just told us your concerns/issues directly or message us while you were still staying with us so that we could have addressed your concerns promptly.
We take our part-time business seriously and we aim to provide nothing but pleasant and comfortable experience for our guest’s entire stay. However, we were disappointed to read some INACCURATE comments you’ve written. Thus, we feel that we’ll address these issues promptly.
1. Privacy concerns- our house is located in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Prior guests did not have privacy concerns over our curtains. However, we’ve already addressed this concern per your recommendations.
2. Location of the room - Bay room is located by our neighborhood street. You can only hear few vehicles passing by. This noise had never once an issue by our prior guests. Right next to it is our main door. It has keypad lock and screen door and we don’t have control over the sound these doors and keypad lock make. However, our other Airbnb guest, I and my wife are careful enough to open/close these doors gently.
3. Noise issue – Our kitchen is adjacent to all three rooms we have in the house. You said that you hear kitchen noise and loud interaction at 6:00 A.M. This comment is totally INACCURATE! How could we violate the quiet time we set! To be exact, we wake up at 6:45 to prepare for work, part of the time is using the kitchen for 15-20 minutes. We also mentioned to you that we have one guest staying at the Canyon room. Our guest confirmed with us that she wakes up at 6:30 to be exact to prepare for work. Of course, there’s an interaction going with our guest at the kitchen but never a long and loud interaction as what you’ve described. My wife and the other guest are off for work at 7:30 and I’m off to my room after they left. Hence, you hear nothing but quietness in the house.
4. Bed - Our mattress was purchased just recently so it is firm. So far, we heard mostly compliments from our guests since this bed gives them good back support. Again, we apologize that it was not your preference.
Note: These types of noise that seemed to bother you extremely cannot be avoided but MINIMIZED because this is how our home is set up and we don’t have control over the following types of noise: door noise (opening/closing, keypad lock), kitchen noise (sound of microwave, utensils, coffee maker, ref), prepping for work as early as 6:45 A.M for 15-20 minutes, short interaction with other guest in the morning while making coffee.
Our listing descriptions now provides a very detailed information pertinent to potential noise our guests may experience during their stay. Bay room and Canyon room are not the best place for guests who are light sleeper and get easily bothered by the noise mentioned above. Thank you!
