Kathy and her boyfriend booked the place at 5:45 pm on Dec.27. We took them as last minute guests. They called us to check in around 7:30. We welcomed them with hospitality. The next day, when I log on to Airbnb website, I saw in my Airbnbv inbox that Kathy left us a message that they left the place because they "saw a mouse, and asked me for a full refund for the two days that they have booked". We found it very strange.
First of all, there are two roommates living in the apartment, one from Japan the other from Brazil, nobody saw a mouse, and they have been living there for over one year.
Secondly, the wall and the floor are described as "dirtier than expected" to the couple but in fact they are just vintage. We had over 10 guests from Airbnb staying in this room up to now, nobody complained about dirt and all of them were happy.
Lastly, when we got into the apartment two days after the booking, they have already used the towels and other utilities, we do not see why they ask for a refund, and we wonder why did they not call us to tell us that they were leaving, just like they called us to let us know about their arrival, but only left an Airbnb message.
