Surrounded by mountains, fresh air, and open space, this tiny home is a comfortable and peaceful place to stay. We love all the large trees in our 2/3 acre yard and farm animals in the neighborhood. It is 28 minutes from the airport, 35 minutes from downtown SLC, and 5 minutes from Main St. Tooele.
This tiny home bus includes a living room, bathroom, kitchenette, bedroom, and walk-in closet. Originally, it was a 1989 international school bus which we converted.
Feel free to use the firepit.
One year ago, we bought a school bus from a Christian church in Idaho, and our journey began. As the months passed, the bus transformed into a little home. We tore out the seats and replaced with linoleum; we built walls from wood; we did the plumbing, hooked up electricity, and bought solar panels. The work continued.
Eventually, we moved in and lived in it until we gave birth to a little girl. Now, we want to offer the experience to others to see what it's like to be inside of a school bus home.
Home is studio apartment style and includes a small living room, bathroom, kitchen, bed, and a large walk-in closet. The kitchen is stocked with spices, a table, chairs, some dishes, inducted stovetop, mini fridge, and a toaster oven.
In the space, everything is hand done, and we love all the little work we put in.
Guests can also ask for access to the house to use our laundry room. Feel free to use the shed nearest to the bus to store excess items. The bus only locks from the inside. We will give you the key to our shed, so you can store valuables if you wish.

A few things to consider before booking here: Hot water lasts 5-10 minutes per day, so showers may get cold if not taken quickly. The space is kept warm and cool with a space heater and fan. There aren't very many issues with it getting too cold, but it can be warm during the day, especially if you choose to keep the curtains up.
Feel free to use as much of the backyard as you want. If you have animals, they can roam around. You can also use the table on our back porch to get wifi.
