Spacious, private, 2nd floor apartment w/full kitchen, bathroom, 2 bedrooms (sleeps 6 comfortably), A/C-heat, WiFi, panoramic view of the kid field where baby goats cavort in season.
We are a working goat farm. You will have a panoramic view from the second story apartment and may see us caring for the goats and dogs. In season, you may even see baby goats just below the apartment.
Our gorgeous farm apartment comfortably sleeps 4 singles plus 1 couple. A 5th single person could sleep on the couch if needed. There is also plenty of room for entertaining guests.
To us, this place feels like heaven, between the peace and quiet, nature sounds, wonderful animals, forest, and views.
Guests have access to the full 161 acres (with a signed agri-tourism waiver), with the exception of the other private residences, but please don't enter fields or barns with goat guard dogs or without checking with the farm managers first.

We let guests be, unless they're interested in having a conversation with us about the farm or need suggestions for nearby attractions.
Children 5 years old or younger are free. Each additional adult (beyond the first) and each child over 5 years old will incur an additional $20 fee per night, as stated in our prices.
Please no smoking indoors and be mindful of your surroundings outside. Please extinguish your butts in an ashtray.
Pets are a little complicated since we generally don't allow indoor animals, and we have multiple goat guard dogs, farm cats, and free-ranging chickens. If you have a real need to have your well-behaved, clean, and flea-free pet stay with you (such as a companion pet for a disability), we will consider this on a case-by-case basis, for a nightly fee, plus a cleaning fee, and a refundable security deposit.

SleepyGoat Farm is located on 160 undulating acres in Pelham, NC, just 6 miles south of Danville, VA and 44 miles north of Greensboro, NC. Our herd of goats has dwindled now and numbers around 12. Formerly licensed as a Farmstead Cheese Maker by the state of North Carolina in June of 2004, our cheese-making operation, SleepyGoat Cheese, used to produce several kinds of cheese, fresh and aged, pasteurized and raw. While Della has retired now from the cheesemaking business, she may still have some cheese to sell. Ask us!
The owners Jon and Della were both board-certified neurologists who found themselves contemplating a career change. Since they had goats on a small scale for many years, it was natural that they thought about doing something with the goats. Goat cheese was the next step. The goats had been kept as pets; caretakers and family drank the fresh milk and made cheese and soap until 2003 when the commercial cheese scheme started taking structure.
