I thank you Nicole for being honest and for expressing how you felt while sharing our space. To my knowledge there were two nights when I had people over to welcome my brother who visited with very little notice and I informed you he was going to be around. The next night was when my roommate of 5 years was leaving and we had supper together. While I do appreciate your general observation, you unfortunately make it sound like this is a party house., which is far from true. Regarding late phone calls from your immediate roommate, I only wish you could have mentioned to me and I would have spoken to her. I severally asked you whether everything was o.k and you always responded positively, which now appears contrary to what you have indicated in the review. Again. you pointed out lack of transparency regarding the number of people living in the house, and I think that must have been an oversight on your part because all the information is on the airbn website. The oven glass broke 2 days before your arrival and as soon as you checked in I informed you about it. Incidentally you did not indicate you needed the oven because I had one in storage...you only said you were on a diet...veggies and some powdered food.
You further mentioned in your review that the house is older, it was cold/hot and it was far from downtown. Prior to booking the, you indicated that you were looking for a place that is close to PLC and not downtown...I therefore don't understand where all these is coming from.
I felt compelled to clarify some Nicole's review because it not only tarnishes my reputation as a host but it also portray my place as chaotic and non-habitable. However, this being a one person's observation should not be generalized since my other guests have had a tremendous experience of peace and tranquility .
That put aside, I am a loving, caring and kind-heated person. I love my house and I try to make it homely in order to give my guests a positive experience.
Thank you. Maryanne
