After reviewing the claim this guest made, I had maintenance check the pipes and drains in the bath tub since everything was left clean and spotless. It was discovered that the pipes in the tub have been clogged while my neighbor across the hall was using her shower. This was something out of my control and I couldn’t anticipate its occurrence. If guest had not left my studio with damaged items (sofa with a small burn and bed headboard detached/broken) I would have refunded portion of her money back for the unfortunate timing and incident.
In regards to the rest of the review, the guest wanted to be revengeful as I showed her pictures of the damaged items her and her friend left. They are completely inaccurate and were made with ill-intentions. The studio is held up to great level of cleanliness. I’ve had a “super host” inspect it before it was left for guest and do a walk through. We both agreed that everything looked nice, clean and crisp. The sheets and cover were washed the same day the guest arrived!
Lastly, guest claims to have stayed in Airbnb homes before, however, her profile was completely empty, no one left her any reviews, and she showed lack of understanding to the concept of staying at someone’s home and not a hotel, which leads me to believe that this is her first stay at an Airbnb.
