Tucked away in the woods, yet close to villages, restaurants and ski resorts the Hideaway Mountain Chalet offers a cozy setting for a maximum of 6 people. Escape here to meditate, enjoy the sounds of nature and the crisp air of the nearby mountains. Gather around the a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace with wood burning insert, utilize the fully equipped kitchen and cook with friends/family or simply linger on the couch with your favorite book.
Conveniently located for skiers/snowboarders: 10 minutes to Plattekill, 15 minutes to Belleayre and 30-40 minutes from Hunter/Windham, this three bedroom, two bath home with a gorgeous wrap-around deck features a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, barbecue and a washer and dryer in the basement. The king size bedroom is located on the 1st floor and the other bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. There is a toilet/bathroom on each floor. The living room entertainment features TV and a fully loaded stereo with surround sound. Games are provided as well. WIFI is available throughout the house.
During the winter the chalet offers views of the surrounding mountains. During the spring and summer you can enjoy lounging on the wrap-around deck with complete privacy offered by the surrounding vegetation which is in full bloom. Fall Foliage is one of the best we've seen in the area, especially when the sun rays bathe the hills.
The house is about 2.5 hours drive from New York City. If you wish to play golf, Hanah Country Club is 15 minutes away. Restaurants, food shopping or antiquing are between 15 and 20 minute drive. Additional activities include horseback riding, hiking, fishing, tubing, biking or running around the Ashokan Reservoir, visiting the farmers markets or the surrounding villages (Andes, Margaretville, Roxbury, Phoenicia) or simply relaxing in the house, barbecuing or reading a book in front of the fireplace or on the deck.

Enjoy, relax and treat this as your own house. This house means a lot to us so we have a few basic rules – a preview is provided below. After reservations have been accepted, you will receive the following:

Rental Agreement Highlights (not entire agreement):
Renters must be 25+ years old
Renter must be present for the entire length of the stay
No smoking inside the house. Smoking is allowed outside.
Maximum Occupancy Limit – 6 people
Renter(s) pay double rate for each day they fail to leave when the rental period ends.
Pets are NOT allowed.
No outside shoes in the house. Please bring slippers or shoes you'd wear in the house. We try to keep it clean for our guests.
Parking is limited to 3 vehicles. Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only. Parking on the road is not permitted. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We suggest you bring beach towels. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the units.
Wood-burning Insert: The Insert operates with wood. Please keep the Insert door closed after you've started the fire. Please do not throw any paper or other combustible materials in the Insert. The Insert can heat up the entire house.
Water and Septic: The chalet is on a well and septic systems. The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you could be charged damages of up to $300.
Storms: No refunds will be given for storms. Roads can be curvy and steep. Gravel drives are well maintained; however, we highly recommend four wheel drive during the snow months. We do not refund due to road conditions.
Outside Grill: Renter is responsible for brushing outdoor grill clean. Fees may apply if this adds time to cleaners' cleaning time.
Keys: All keys must be returned to the lock-box at end of stay. If keys are not returned it will result in fee being held.
Trash Removal Policy: Trash can be locked in the shed near the driveway. The doors of the shed have to be locked to avoid bears helping themselves to the trash. Please separate recyclables.
3. INDEMNIFICATION Owner shall not be liable for any damage or injury to the Guest, or any other person or to any property, occurring on the premises or any part thereof, or in common areas thereof. Guest agrees to hold Owner harmless from any claims from damages or injuries, no matter how caused.
4. RIGHT OF ENTRY FOR PERIODIC INSPECTION The Owner or Owner's Agent may enter the premises at any time during reasonable hours and for the purpose of inspecting the premises, making necessary or agreed repairs, decorations, alterations or improvements, supplying necessary or agreed services, or exhibiting the dwelling unit to prospective or actual purchasers, mortgages, prospective tenants, workmen, contractors, or insurance inspectors.
