Ayesha and I communicated via Airbnb before the booking was completed, and the layout of the house explained, along with the details of quiet time (this does not mean by any stretch that you have to be in bed by 9 PM). We have had over 30 guests prior to Ayesha and noise has never been a problem. Unfortunately partying and being boisterous and inconsiderate until 1 AM is not acceptable and therefore I did request them to be quiet. In our correspondence, prior to booking, I did confirm the layout of the house to Ayesha, who decided that she would like to go ahead and book. I did clarify that we do not live in the basement but do live in the apartment below. The house is split into 2 apartments, one upstairs, and one downstairs. The upstairs apartment is totally self-contained, with a large living room, bathroom, Kitchen and two bedrooms. The sound of walking (unless you have not observed the house rule of removing shoes) and talking is not an issue. Unfortunately, the noise that we were subjected to was loud yelling, furniture being moved, and screaming.
Sadly Ayesha and her friends broke many house rules while staying in our apartment and was an inconsiderate guest.
