Spring in the city, ah magical time. We have mostly great weather and everything feels new. Flowers bloom, trees show off their brand new "coat" and we feel happy. Baseball any one? You will get a nice, and comfortable basic bedroom in my home.
AH, DEAR PROSPESPECTIVE GUEST, I VALUE YOU AND WILL TREAT YOU WITH UPMOST RESPECT, BUT I WILL NOT BOOK YOU IF WE DO NOT EXCHANGE INFORMATION. I AM NOT A HOTEL IT IS MY HOME. A FEW BAD EXPERIENCES PROMPTED THIS.
Spring in New York is glorious, near perfect weather for a long walk. A trip to Chinatown. How about Central Park.
A walk under the bridges. A bit want an adventure, Inwood or Highbridge parks. The Cloisters?
I know the city very well and can give you endless tips or even take you one of my epic urban exploration walks.
The East Village is vibrant. Restaurants, clubs, Red tail hawk watching in the park. Interesting people.
Williamsburg is a quick train ride away as well as all the wonders the city offers.
Again, I love the city, and I am more then willing to fill you in on all necessary details, trains to take, buses, off beat places to go, hidden gems in non-touristy streets, adventures in the outer boroughs etc.
I am a non-smoker or drinker. Remember that we are adults, you will have to go through my space to use the restroom, so be respectful you get a the privacy of the bedroom in exchange.
I only rent the room to single people my apartment though a good size for the city is not large and it would get cramped.
My spring and summer rates a slightly higher then the winter rates, but I do everything I can to keep it affordable.
Guest will have access to kitchen- light cooking, bathroom, but not to the living room that is my space. it is ideal for someone who is using it as a base to explore this wonderful city.

I interact quite a bit with my guest, I do respect privacy and expect same. I am always willing to share the gems of the city, help out, give directions. My guest seem to have genuinely enjoyed their stays. I share my love of the city with them.
You have a private room, but we do share space. You have to go through my space- just the edge of it to use the restroom, most people are not bothered by it. I ask that you are quiet in the evening. I work a lot out of home during the day.
My house rules are pretty basic, I feel that we are adults.
I do not smoke so I do not allow smoking in my home,
I do not allow drinking in my home either.
You are allowed to use the kitchen but I do expect you to clean up after yourself if you do.
I do not have a curfew- It is New York, have fun!- But I ask you to come home quietly.
I do not allow you to bring in your sleeping bag or personal sheets, I launder for every
This is a big city, so I ask that you please to do not bring overnight guest, or un anounced guests -.
Thank you, courtesy goes a long way.
I am a real east village writer and performer, and avid traveler; have been in the neiboorhood over 20 years. I do, not talk about it, and have witnessed the transition that took place through out the years.
I am an avid traveler, and have had a good experience swaping and staying at peoples homes.
I am a non-drinker, non smoker; yes compleatly sober, and devoted to my creativity.
You might call me a dinosaur, a product of the East Village, from a time we came to find ourselves, and pioneer our individual path in life.
Come share it!
