We had a great two months at Anders condo. The kitchen was well stocked and the outdoor grill enabled us to cook in several nights. We got used to the traffic noise after a few days and thoroughly enjoyed the front balcony. Anders was easily reached by phone and took care of any problems. The pool was always a perfect temperature and we met some nice people there. We would definitely recommend this condo for a fun and relaxing getaway!
The listing was accurate, everything was as pictured, and the neighbourhood was great, very central. The condo was difficult to find when we arrived at night, and the gate opener was missing so we couldn't park in the carport. It was delivered the next day though. The unit comes with only one set of keys which proved awkward at times. We enjoyed our stay in Palm Springs but found this condo to be extremely noisy. Ramon is a very busy road with a 45mph speed limit and lots of trucks, motorcycles and emergency traffic. The main bedroom faces the road and the windows don't block much noise. You cannot have the windows open. Sleep was difficult even with ear plugs. I don't think I'd return to this condo for that reason.
I stayed at Anders' condominium for a month in February 2015 and had a delightful time. The condominium was exactly as pictured on his listing and was very clean and comfortable and included a fully equipped kitchen with everything one could wish for. The grounds and buildings are beautifully maintained and the complex has a very nice pool and hot tub which we took advantage of. The complex is very centrally located in Palm Springs and only a short walk from a shopping center. This made it easy to buy groceries and there are also several restaurants and other services available. The building this apartment is located in does face onto a very busy street, so the noise level on the balcony is quite high, as noted in another review. This was the only negative aspect of our stay. I would definitely recommend this listing to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in central Palm Springs.
I stayed at Anders' condo for a one-month escape in Palm Springs, to get away from Portland's rainiest, gloomiest time of year. Palm Springs delivered with lovely warm weather, easily enjoyed at the great pool area in this condo complex, which is a bit of a walk from the unit. Pool towels were provided -- all we needed was sunscreen. The nearby Ralph's grocery was a walkable distance for essentials. While we ate lots of meals in very nearby (20 minute walk, 5 minute by car) downtown Palm Springs, we also tried some of the small neighborhood restaurants a couple of blocks away on Sunrise Way. Simple, but good. Be aware that Ramon Road is fairly busy, so the master bedroom on that side of the building could be noisy with the window open. But with the window closed and the A/C on, that wasn't a problem. The beds were very comfortable, the towels fluffy and abundant, and the kitchen fully equipped -- there is even a French press coffee maker in addition to the electric drip unit, a nice touch. We did use the home entertainment center to play back some tunes from our iPhones and watch some NetFlix DVDs we brought along. The WIFI was reasonably reliable and speedy. The only downside is that there is no washer/dryer in the unit, and you have to carry your laundry around through the gate into the complex to get to the community laundry room -- get quarters at the nearby CVS Pharmacy when you are shopping there. Overall a good stay that I could recommend to anyone looking for a quiet but convenient lodging near downtown Palm Springs.
The condo was nicely appointed with everything you could possibly want or need. The king-sized bed in the master was extremely comfortable and the queen-sized bed had a luxurious down mattress pad which made for a great night's sleep. The bathrooms and kitchen have been recently renovated with granite countertops and glass shower enclosures. Both are 3 piece bathrooms with a shower in the ensuite and a bath/shower combination in the second bathroom. Everything was extremely clean. The pool (heated) and hot tub were wonderful and we spent many hours swimming, soaking, and chatting with other condo residents (some of whom had been returning for years to the same development). The landscaping was beautiful and we enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and butterflies flitting about the scented gardens. The condo is one block from a shopping centre with a large grocery store, pharmacy, Starbucks, and other restaurants. Also close by is a little strip mall with a bakery (highly rated on tripadvisor) and other great restaurants. The Palm Springs Senior Centre is two blocks away and has lots of activities to participate in. Downtown Palm Springs is about a 25 minute walk away. The local bus stops in front of the condo complex, so this is a great location if you don't have a car. Unfortunately, there are a few negative things about this particular condo. Firstly, it is situated right on East Ramon Road. This is a very busy street with traffic speeding by at high velocity 24/7. We were bothered by traffic noise, even with the windows/doors shut. The beautiful balcony features a fantastic view and comfy love seats, but we were unable to use it because of the cars constantly whizzing by. The condo does not overlook the pool. If you are used to living in a very noisy environment, perhaps this won't be a problem for you. Secondly, because the condo is located on the second floor of the building facing East Ramon, there is no access from the gated parking lot. The only way you can enter the condo is by walking through the parking lot, through the locked gate, around the front of the building and up the stairs. This is not fun when you are carrying in groceries or luggage from the car. The pool and laundry room are located in the middle of the complex, which means that if you stay in this condo, you must use a key to get into the parking lot before you can get to these facilites. There is only one key to this gate provided, so everyone must go together, or one person goes with you to let you in and then follows later. This did not work well for us. The key for the gate was very sticky and we often had trouble getting in. It would have been helpful to have a condo manual. When we arrived, it took several attempts to find out how to get to the unit. We wandered around for quite...
