Our Stables conversion is in a wonderful rural setting in a valley, half a mile down a picturesque wood-lined drive. The property is one of a collection of three farm buildings nestled together including the Hayloft (also listed on aribnb) and an unconverted barn. It is extremely spacious throughout boasting an extremely large entertaining space with a private cinema experience with 10ft cinema screen and ultimate surround sound. Full of character with large oak beams, chestnut wood flooring (with underfloor heating) and original stable doors. The Great Hall also has dining for up to 12 people, a grand piano, plenty of seating and a large oak desk.
The kitchen, with large oak kitchen table, has a 2 oven Aga and induction oven/hob and is fully equipped. It leads onto a comfortable, spacious lounge with TV, sofas and a large open log fireplace.
Two ensuite bedrooms are on the ground floor, one has a 'japenese' style sunken jacuzzi bath. Upstairs there are two further ensuite bedrooms both spacious and beautifully decorated. All our beds are made up with high thread count Egyptian cotton linen.
All ground floor rooms have access and views of the large mediterranean style 'inner' courtyard with teak furniture for al fresco dining and a table tennis table. An outdoor kitchen area with a sink, granite kitchen work surfaces, gas barbecue and charcoal barbecue is a chef's heaven. The courtyard has benches and sun loungers and is overlooked with mature trees.
There is a lawn to the side of the property for ball games and direct access to miles of public footpaths from the courtyard.
Across from the lawn and drive is a small lake which can be enjoyed for fishing and/or picnicking.

-A car is needed getting here and around as we are well off the grid when it comes to public transport. It is a rural area so there are few roadside footpaths and no streetlights!
Taxis will need to be booked in advance, as there are very few taxi services and so they get very booked up, especially on the weekends.
-We provide glasses, crockery and cutlery.
-There are 2 great village pubs and other local restaurants.
Families with children: Children should be supervised at all times. There are unfenced ponds, lakes and streams on the estate. You will need to bring your own travel cot and bedding. I may be able to provide a highchair; please request on booking.
-We have no mobile signal. There is WiFi and the house phone can be used on request.
-We do have a selection of DVD's to choose from but feel free to bring your own DVD to watch a film on the cinema screen. There is also a choice of a couple of hundred films on the server.
-All facilities including the Jacuzzi bath, cinema screen and WiFi are subject to availability (i.e. we make every endeavor to ensure that they are all working before your stay, but this is often beyond our control and can not be guaranteed).
