We love our private little suite and the Wolseley neighbourhood and we hope you will too. You will find everything you need close by and most amenities within walking distance. Friendly neighbours, character charm, a cozy fireplace, comfortable queen bed with quality linens, a walk in shower, a full kitchen, private laundry facilities and private off street parking for your convenience and comfort. Daily family living noise from upper unit is to be expected in old homes with thin walls.
Main floor duplex unit of a character home in trendy and popular Wolseley area of Winnipeg. The inside is a wonderful surprise - nicely appointed and everything you need for a cozy and comfortable stay: gas fireplace, walk in shower, and full kitchen. The sunny private back deck for enjoying morning coffee and waving at the neighbours as they walk by. Lanes are a very social place on this street. The Wolseley area itself provides many interesting places to browse and numerous great stops. Please wear your shoes or slippers as those are old, not so perfect, floors and use caution on the basement stairway. These wonderful old homes have thin walls so do expect to hear daily living noise - a family lives in the upstairs unit. We love our little home away from home and we hope you will too!
Private access and entrance at the back with off street parking at your door. Block heater plug in provided during winter. Coded lock for easy access and check in. House number clearly displayed at the back so that access is easy from the lane. Please note that the other two parking spaces are used by our son who lives across the lane. The suite is entirely for guest use and comes with a well stocked kitchen for your use, and laundry facilities in the basement. A private back deck offers guests an outdoor space to enjoy as well. The back lane is a social place in Wolesley and the back deck by the apple tree is a great place to engage with neighbours or just observe.

We spend most of our time in Victoria, B.C. where we have our primary residence so will not likely meet you. However, we are available through text or email and our co-host, Jana, lives just across the lane.
Please ensure that all your dishes are done and that personal food items are removed from the fridge and the unit. Garbage should be taken out to the container in the lane. Thank you, we appreciate it!
My husband and I are retired educators and we reside in Victoria, B.C. We travel regularly to Winnipeg, Manitoba to visit with our son and his family and extended family. We also enjoy regular travel to Mexico, our favourite place to relax and enjoy the sunshine, music and people. When at home painting is a favourite past time for me, while my husband enjoys working on his chosen art form - building a hot rod. Family is most important to us and we love spending time with our grandchildren in Victoria as well as the grandchildren in Winnipeg. Knitting is another past time I have taken up in my retirement and visits to our home in Winnipeg allow me to also visit Wolseley Wool just down the street from our vacation home. Both my husband and myself love new adventures and meeting new people.
