Historic home built in 1900 for rent on Indy's near east side during big events in town. Just a ten-minute drive to downtown or twenty minutes from the track, the home sleeps eight (three bedrooms -- one king bed and two queens--and two couches) with two bathrooms. Wifi, cable TV (movie channels), carport, washer and dryer.
Both bathrooms have been recently remodeled, with one on the second floor and one in the basement. The kitchen is remodeled with stainless steel appliances. Most of the rooms look like they came out of Crate and Barrel or Pottery Barn.
Please no animals or smoking.
The house is on a busy east-west street, although with new windows, a brick house, and a three-season porch at the front of the house, the noise level is very minimal. A bus stop is down the street.
The Irvington neighborhood is only ten blocks away with a great local pizzeria (Jockamo's), a brewery (Black Acre), a great farm-to-table restaurant (The Mug), and a great neighborhood restaurant (Legends). A couple of local coffee shop and local bookstore (Book Mama's) and a Starbucks are there as well.
The home is decorated modernly with bright colors and comfortable furniture from Pottery Barn, West Elm, and Crate and Barrel.
When renting the private bedroom/bathroom, guess can use the kitchen, dining room, the living room, and the outside backyard area.

I've been an AirBnB Super Host for more than a year now, and I take great pride in ensuring that I offer my guests a relaxing, stress-free, and memorable stay in my home.
Please read my entire profile before you send a reservation request. FYI: My charming home is located in a transitional neighborhood in the city. Indianapolis is a city of socioeconomic pockets. If you are expecting suburbia, then my home's location may not be right for you. (If you do take the city bus, you will go through some neighborhoods with a lower socioeconomic level on your way downtown. I wanted to give you a heads-up before you reserved, if you're not used to city living.)
I'm a self-employed editor during the day and a college and high school volleyball ref and high school basketball ref by night.
I am down-to-earth, sincere, genuine, loyal, and respectful. Life is so short and delicate, so live today like it's your last day.
I love to travel and have had the fortune to visit many interesting places in the world, including Australia, New Zealand, England, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Mexico, and Canada, as well as 40 of the 50 US states (with plans on visiting a couple new ones in the next year). My favorite countries include New Zealand, Australia, Argentina, Spain, Greece, and Brazil.
As an AirBnB host, I love welcoming people into my home. Since joining AirBnB five years ago, I have met and hosted people from all over the world—New Zealand, India, Canada, Singapore, Taiwan, England, Saudi Arabia, France, Vietnam, Germany, Australia, Brazil, and so many places within the United States. I take hosting someone very seriously. I want you to feel comfortable in my home and city—in other words, my community.
If you're road weary and need a place for one night or you're coming into town for a conference or vacation and want to get away from the hubbub of downtown, I can help.
No matter whether you're an AirBnB newbie or an AirBnB pro, and you're sending a reservation request, please take a few moments and complete your AirBNB profile with a picture and some security verifications.
I'm LGBT- and straight-friendly as well as open to meeting all types of people. Mi casa es tu casa.
