This 4 bedroom modern apartment is the ideal spot for a large family or a party of 4 golfers. Located at West Port Court and having a dedicated parking spot right next to the archway to South Street puts you in the perfect position to leave the car and walk to everything within 5 minutes. There are 3 ensuite shower rooms and a 4 bathroom. The apartment can sleep up to 8 people.

SPECIAL OFFER!!! If your group is 4 people or less, but only require the use of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, we will waive the cleaning fee. This must be communicated during the enquiry/booking process. This obviously means less cleaning of bathrooms and bedding/towels for us so we can pass on a discount to you.

This is not a party flat. 4 double bedrooms. 3 of them with their own toilet/sink and en suite shower. 1 communal bathroom with a bath, toilet and sink. There is a large communal space with adjoining kitchen and dining area. There is a microwave oven, conventional oven electric hob, fridge,freezer, toaster and kettle in the kitchen as well as moat cooking utensils and pans.
There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in the hallway cupboard.

West Port Court is located opposite the Shell Garage (petrol station) on Bridge St. The easiest landmark to find is the West Port Arch. This is located at the western end of South Street. The postcode for your Go ogle search is KY16 9FB.
The entrance to the car park is opposite the Shell Garage. Car parking space number 4 (the first one on the right).

The flat is on the first floor (1 above street level). The living room has windows overlooking the road which is one of the main routes through the town. The bedrooms are to the back of the building facing towards the West Port Bar. There is a beer garden area which is open until midnight so expect a little noise especially in good weather.

You can get to the first floor via the stairs or an elevator.
All of the bedroom doors are "Fire doors". This means they are equipped to close by themselves to give you maximum safety in the event of a fire. The flat has carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors as well as a fire extinguisher.

To gain access to the flat, I will need to meet you to hand over the security fob that gives access to the building and the keys to the flat. There is CCTV at both entrances to the building.

It is imperative that you give us an estimated time of arrival and another message about 30 minutes before to give us time to meet you there. We know plans change, but communication is the most important thing here. Noone likes waiting for more than five minutes.

Please note that for the week of Graduation (June 24-30) and the 3 weeks of the Open (July 8-14)/(15-21)/22-28), there will be a 5 night minimum booking.
These dates are obviously the busiest weeks of the summer.

Excellent location! We (family of 5) were only in Saint Andrews for 2 nights and this apartment worked for us. The teens had their own space and were able to easily explore Saint Andrews. (get yummy crepes around the corner).

Thanks Victoria for our first review of 4 West Port Court. I totally understand that you scored us lower than we would like for the "value" category as you were charged £440/night for you family of 5 (and an extra on the second night). It was purely a case of inopportune timing in that the Ricoh Women's British Open (golfing event) was being played 5 miles away from August 2-6 and all of the Bed and Breakfasts were full as were the hotels. We have our prices adjusted automatically by airbnb and according to their algorithms the price that was set reflected the high demand during a big event and the low availability of properties of this size/location. I am glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you come back to Scotland and get to play some golf next time.

Here is our commentary in 2 languages: in French and the translation (maybe a little approximative) in English. Voici ici notre commentaire en 2 langues: en français et la traduction (peut-être un peu approximative) en anglais. Tout d'abord nous devons remercier Bernie car, suite à un incident, nous avons dû réserver son appartement la veille de notre arrivée et il nous a accepté. Heureusement pour nous, car trouver un hébergement à la dernière minute en plein mois d'août ne s'avère pas simple! L'appartement se trouve au premier étage avec ascenseur. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié les salles de douche et toilettes privatives pour chaque chambre. (4 chambres de 2, donc 4 salles de douche, toilettes). Ceci est un vrai point positif! L'appartement est bien situé, à 2 pas du centre-ville. Saint-Andrews est d'ailleurs une très belle ville. Il est très facile de se rendre à Edimbourg en train. Depuis l'appartement il faut compter une quinzaine de minutes en voiture pour aller à la gare. Une fois à la gare il y a un parking (1£ par jour). Les trains sont très réguliers depuis tôt le matin (nous sommes partis vers 8h) jusqu'à tard le soir (environ 23h). Le trajet en train dure 1h pour les trains les plus directs et 1h20 pour ceux qui font plus d'arrêts. Bernie avait cherché les horaires et tarifs de train avec nous à notre arrivée chez lui. Merci. Pour ceux qui n'ont pas de voiture, il y a un arrêt de bus juste au pied de l'immeuble. L'appartement semble refait à neuf depuis peu. Nous étions 5 personnes dont 2 couples et nous n'avons eu accès qu'à 3 des 4 chambres. Cela est dommage car au final, même si nous n'avions pas besoin de la quatrième chambre, on paie pour 4 chambres et 3 seulement sont prêtes! Nous vous recommandons cet appartement. First of all we must thank Bernie because, after an incident, we had to book his apartment the day before we arrived and he accepted us. Luckily for us, because finding accommodation at the last minute in the middle of August is not easy! The apartment is on the first floor with lift. We enjoyed the en suite shower rooms and toilets for each room. (4 rooms of 2, so 4 shower rooms, toilets). This is a real plus point. The apartment is well located, 2 steps from the city center. St. Andrews is also a very beautiful city. It is very easy to go to Edinburgh by train. From the apartment it takes about fifteen minutes by car to go to the station. Once at the train station there is a parking lot (£ 1 per day). The trains are very regular from early morning (we left around 8am) until late at night (about 11pm). The train journey takes 1h for the most direct trains and 1h20 for those who make more stops. Bernie had been looking for train schedules and rates with us when we arrived at his home. Thank you....

Nicola was born and bred in St Andrews and I grew up in Melbourne Australia. We met while I was on a six week golf tour of Ireland and Scotland. We have two children who are 10 and 8 years old and we all love to travel. Our favourite destinations are Italy, France and Australia but want to see as much of the world as we can as a family.
