The room is situated in an apartment which has been mostly arranged as a working space. Outside working hours, you have the entire place to yourself.
You have a comfy extendable couch (and a floor mattress, should you need it for a third person or a child), access to fully equipped bathroom, a kitchen area, a groceries shop downstairs, the best view in town and you will be within walking distance to anywhere of importance in Bucharest.
We are 3 friends working in an office across the street from the famous People's Palace and we have decided to let travelers use one of our less frequented rooms. The room is situated in an apartment which has been mostly arranged as a working space. Outside working hours, you have the entire place to yourself.
You have the best view in town, that's an undeniable fact. Most tourists who pass under our balcony would give their pinky toe for the angle you get from our balcony :)
You have free wi-fi (very good speed), a comfy extendable couch (and a floor mattress, should you need it for a third person or a child), clean sheets and towels, access to fully equipped bathroom, a kitchen area (free access to water fountain, tea, coffee, fridge, microwave, toaster, dishes, cutlery, SodaStream machine. Please note there is no cooker/stove to cook on from scratch). and the best view in town and you will be within walking distance to anywhere of importance in Bucharest.
Bathroom (with bathtub and shower, clean towels, shampoo, shower gel, hair dryer), kitchen/dining area (with tea, coffee, sugar, salt, oil, vinegar and other essentials, fridge, microwave, toaster, sandwich maker, water fountain, SodaStream), smoking area on another room's balcony and lots of meaningful conversations with us, about history, social background and other insights into Romanian life.

We are 3 friends working in the office. We all speak English and we are all very sociable. We can either guide and entertain you, or leave you in peace. As you wish.
All 3 of us have cats, so whenever one of us goes on holiday, we bring our cat to the office for the other 2 to cat-sit. So, if you are allergic to cats or just hate them and can't stand to be around one, let us know in advance, so we can make other arrangements.
Absolutely no noise after 8pm, as this is a half-office, half-residential building an the area is very quiet at night. Every small noise echoes far and loud. So no coming home drunk and singing on the stairway :). Also, music after 8pm can only be listened to in headphones.
- Quiet hours between 8pm-9am
- No visitors except airbnb guests

I will leave modesty out of this business and say that my husband and I are welcoming hosts who will make you feel right at home from the first minute!
We can leave you in peace to take care of your own business and be independent in Bucharest, or we can recommend stuff to do/see, we can give you maps, go out with you and prepare a nice diner to eat together while chatting the night away. Your choice, most of the time :)
I designed my flat myself and I couldn't be happier with my choice. I feel safe and I marvel every day at the little details that came to me from the history of my family. I love my cats and I love tidiness and a clean home, so I have to invest quite a lot in professional cleaning, to keep all the cat hair out of the flat. I mostly succeed :)
Five things I can't live without? Books, books, books, books, books. You'll see what I mean when you visit :) I also enjoy good food (cooking and eating it). I have a recipe blog and I eat out quite a lot. Dragos is into football, computer games, cars (the usual, for a Romanian guy).
If you visit during the Enescu festival or even FOR the Enescu Festival, we'll probably go together to most of the concerts. I love opera, ballet and classical music.
My hosting style? It depends on my guest. I tend to be very motherly if I see a confused or unsure guest. However, I can also take a step back and let you experience Bucharest on your own if that's what you'd rather do. The rest is pretty much: mi casa e su casa and you can call me anytime you can't find the peeling knife or the kettle :)
PLEASE READ: After having rejected a lot of requests in the last couple of months from people who gave absolutely no info about themselves, I feel compelled to add the following:
Money is not the main reason I am on Airbnb (nor the second or third, for that matter), and I will only accept to host people that I feel I can connect with on some level. We have to share some interests, maybe we have traveled to the same countries and we can swap impressions, maybe you've been to a place I want to go and I would like you to tell me all about it, or maybe you are just so crazy and full of life, that I just have to meet you and try my best to befriend you in the short time of your stay.
But if you've just joined Airbnb and you have filled in no info about yourself, couldn't be bothered to upload a photo (of yourself, not of a Disney character!) and then send me a one line booking request, maybe not even using any Capital letters at the beginning of the phrase, or, worse, no punctuation at all... then expect me not to host you.
I host people in my flat, and therefore I have to base my decision to host on a certain amount of trust and mutual exchange of information. I think I've done my share by filling in my profile quite extensively for you. All I ask is that you do the same for me.
