You perhaps should have puclicly mentioned my help with transport! ... "Geoff, you were a terrific host, going way beyond the call of duty for picking me up at the airport, giving me rides and finally waking up at dawn to drive me to the Nice train station."
But you're right that it's a place where it's good to have a car to get around and see the sights. The bus service means you really have to plan your day! That's why I didn't want you missing your train!
I really understand it is a bit difficult with public transport and people think the Eze station on the coast isn't far, but it is a 500 metre climb to the Grand Corniche from the coast up the Nietzsche trail to Eze Village ... but there is an 83 bus you can take ... Phew! And for 1.50€ per journey it's a great cheap sight-seeing tour! And the 82 bus back to Nice from the Plateau de la Justice on the Grand Corniche is great too!
Although I haven't included access to the commercial kitchen upstairs, I think I will look to offer that in future to guests. We had a chef use the restaurant and kitchen for a private party a week ago and I would like people to hire that space for special occasions... Weddings and anniversaries. I've posted some photos on the main Airbnb listing.
Thanks for your understanding about the improvements. It will get better and better.
I really enjoyed your company as well Elizabeth... and it was nice to see you painting in the garden. Hope you come this way again. Bisous x
