More than just a beautiful large room, you'll find the comfort and charm you want when you're away from home: tall ceiling, rich warm wood floors, plenty of space, private entrance, bathroom, porch, and a warm fresh baked bread for breakfast.
Rooster Hill Bed and Breakfast is set in the beautiful foot-hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and offers you a tranquil and private experience in a country setting. Just 15 minutes from the heart of Charlottesville and the University of Virginia - and minutes from the entrance to Skyline Drive. Your spacious suite offers private entrance; porch; kitchenette; and bathroom with large shower.
Breakfast is self-serve in your room and may include farm fresh eggs - from our chicken coop, homemade bread, orange juice, cereal and coffee. You may even want to gather your breakfast eggs right from the coop! The entire house is powered by a 10 KW solar electric system with on-grid backup.
Room # 1 is a very large room and features a private entrance and bathroom, a queen size bed and one twin bed.
The room features a kitchenette with all necessary utensils and dishes, a large dining table with four chairs and a couch. Outside is a large porch with seating and a gazebo with seating overlooking the field and forest.

14 day prior notice for full refund, otherwise deposit refunded subject to renting room to another party. Refunds for UVA Graduation weekend requires a replacement reservation.
Your room - more like a studio apartment - is self-contained with a private entrance, private bathroom with large shower, kitchenette with all dishes and utensils, seating areas in the room, on the porch and on the gazebo over looking the field and forest. Hi, My name is Larry and my wife is Dina. We are the owners of Rooster Hill Bed and Breakfast. Both of us are now retired, so we have plenty of time to work around the house, prepare the apartments for our guests and talking about the area with our guests.
Dina loves to grow vegetables and plants. The house is surrounded by many flowering plants; and in her vegetable garden it's usually fully of promising vegetables. Dina is also a fairly good artist; you'll see her stained glass rooster in room #2. She is also a good cook and baker; and I think that you will agree after you taste her fresh baked bread with your breakfast. As for me, I'm a hands on guy who likes to think that he can build stuff. I have a wood shop and a lot of experience in the trades from building our house. I also enjoy cycling, especially touring. If you bring your bikes with you, I can recommend some very nice rides nearby or help you fix them if they break.
I'm a very modest person, but I am sure that you will like your visit to Virginia and staying at our place.
