When I first read your review, I had some not so pleasant words that I wanted to express. After taking a few minutes to analyze the review; I realized why you would say all of this. You needed to try to justify the review you knew, you would be getting from us.
I want to thank you before I clarify a few facts. Thanks for bringing to my attention, that I need to clarify the house rules, to assure that all guests will have the vacation they desire, while respecting my home at the same time. My home is not where you can come and party with extra guests. This is a non-smoking home. After my experience with you and your guests we have changed our non-smoking home to include the property as well.
You have also shown me how lucky I have been in the last 5 years with previous guests. You were my first guest with AirBnB and almost my last.
Now I would like to apologize to you because you may have found a coffee stain in one of our white coffee mugs. Sometimes that happens when they go through the dishwasher. However that does not justify, burning my plates with cigarettes or something else. Which then needed to be replaced.
In regards to spider webs, I know our deck is fantastic and it feels like it is part of our home, but it is outdoors. I understand most people don't like bugs, myself included, but it can happen when you are outdoors.
When you mentioned you found dead bugs in your drinking glasses. I am assuming you are referring to all the drinking glasses, beer bottles and liquor bottles you left out on the deck. Bringing them inside after you were done with them, could have rectified this.
When I read your comment about the bed sheets being stained it made me realize how low you were willing to go.
Looking back at the pictures I took of the bottles all over the house/deck, bottles under the beds, food everywhere, the stove, the broken BBQ, the wet towels on carpets, the condition of my dresser was in, made me realize trying to explain to you about the cleaning fee would be pointless.
As far as privacy I only came over 1 time in a 3 night stay; which you requested. You phoned me in distress and hung up with no explanation. I came back immediately from camping. When I arrived you asked if I had cameras because you thought someone had stolen your wallet. 5 minutes later your friends found it in your vehicle. At that point I asked if there were any other concerns. There were none.
I am however glad you called me. I was able to witness that there were more guests than the house rules allowed. The sad thing about this experience with you is that it is going to make it very difficult for me to trust other young guests, even though they would most likely be mature enough to respect my home.
I hope other inquirers will see through your review and choose to enjoy their vacation with us.
