A cheap and cheerful double room in a 1930's cottage style, solar powered terrace in the centre of Whitstable, 5 mins walk from the railway station, 5 mins walk into the town centre, 7 mins walk to the harbour and beach. Very comfortable bed, feather pillows and duvet (alternatives also available), pure cotton sheets. Quirky, eclectic and stylish. My house is work in progress so whilst it is clean, don't expect perfection. Two lovely cats and three chickens who lay gorgeous eggs also live here.
My house is smack bang in the centre of old whitstable, minutes walk from the harbour, beach and town centre. My style is quirky and I'm happy to share it with someone who doesn't mind that it's not the best street, or an archetypal Whitstable, victorian terrace... The room is cosy with ample space for clothes and has a very comfortable bed with pure cotton linen. The small window overlooks the rear of the house, gardens and my beautiful hand built cabin, complete with wild green roof... The house is completely solar powered, triple glazed, I drive an electric car and try to live a sustainable and low carbon lifestyle... I work full time for the Environment Agency and for most part, you will have the house to yourself.... Like many properties in Whitstable, the toilet and bathroom are on the ground floor, so please be prepared for a trip downstairs for the loo.... I will provide croissants, bread, preserves and tea and coffee for breakfast. I also have a constant supply of fresh eggs from my three chickens which you will be welcome to help yourself to and cook as you wish in my kitchen.
Private double room, shared lounge, kitchen and bathroom... The rear garden, patio areas and garden furniture is also available to guests to relax in.

I prefer to give my guests space to do their own thing but happy to socialise with them if I'm around...
I have applied for permission to create a driveway and once I have that in place, I will be able to offer free charging for electric vehicles.
- Prefer shoes off upstairs
- Happy to use space in the rear garden
I'm 54 years old, I live alone in Whitstable, work in Canterbury and enjoy meeting people. My home is solar powered, I have a cabin and summerhouse with a green roof and drive an all electric car. I have two cheeky cats and keep chickens. I like music and play bass guitar but dont have time to play in bands these days. I have an eclectic, taste in decor and furnishings, 1950s cocktail cabinets, hand made "steampunk" style woodburning stove, vintage valve hifi and a 1950s fitted kitchen. I grow veggies and I like my garden. My home is work in progress so I'm usually in the middle of some home improvement project (except when I have guests)... I'm looking forward to hosting some guests so they can explore my beautiful town by the sea.
