There are some inconsistencies between the actual apartment and the listing that are unacceptable. The address stated on the listing is that of a gas station; nevertheless it was changed in the last moment by the host, making our journey to our apartment unpleasant, since we had to walk with our luggage for another kilometer in very hot weather.
Later on, by using (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Image Search, we found out that the profile image of the host was taken from a modelling website by the name of (URL HIDDEN)
The man who opened the door was not our host, Cyntia, while the listing stated that host would greet us at check-in. He was as confused as we were and called our reservation by the name of Miriam. He did not introduce himself, did not speak English and left as soon as he gave us his phone number, without giving us any information regarding breakfast, the WiFi password; and without any mention of the security deposit.
Additionally, the apartment was not equipped in accordance to the listing. The sofa bed was not retractable and was instead just a sofa, not big enough for a person to sleep in. When we tried to open it, we found several paper receipts and a pile of dust and hair beneath the pillows. We also found a chipped nail on one of the single beds. Furthermore, the essentials on the listing were either not present or were unusable due to the poor conditions they were in, filthy to say the least. The washing machine was covered in mold and had a dirty towel inside. The cooking plates and the kitchen as a whole were in unsanitary conditions. The tables and floors were covered with large dust mites. The whole apartment was swarming with flies.
Our recommendation is to stay away from this place, unless the aforementioned is dealt with and the listing description is adequately updated.
