Quaint and cozy cabin with quiet treetop views within wooded backyard. Enjoy the romantic sunset views from the deck. Come and unplug, put a log in the fire and enjoy quiet and serene night skies. Or you can just stay in and watch a movie, read a book, draw a bath in the antique claw foot tub or snuggle up with the one you love in a 100 year old solid mahogany antique bed. Grab an ice-cold drink out of a 1930's fridge, and have breakfast on the front or back deck.
Our lovely "Romantic Treetop Hideaway" is tucked into a wooded hillside with paths and secret kissing spots. Enjoy breakfast surrounded by tall pines in the upper garden. Step back in time in a 1920's era miner's cabin, filled with antique furnishings from my travels around the country.
Guests can access all areas of the cottage.

I greet them with the key upon arrival. I offer advice and information on dining, hiking, local events, and sightseeing. I personally check them in and out and take their trash for their convenience. I also provide a street level parking space that is plowed during snow season and shovel the stairs to the house. I live around the corner, and am available 24/7.
Our cottage offers a step back in time, where one can surround themselves in nature's beauty. Leave all the gadgets behind, and reboot your soul. In other words, there is no internet, phone, or cable tv at the cottage, but a short walk into town will give you all the connections you need. We do have DVDs, books, and games for your pleasure. Events in town include three Home Artisan Tours on Thanksgiving, Memorial, and Labor Day weekends. Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony at Thanksgiving, 4th of July parade, Water Carnival and Aquathon, and Summer Faire and Concert Series. We are in a remote area surrounded by National Forest, which includes bears, bobcats, mountain lions, coyotes, deer, and racoon. Please be aware when you are out walking or hiking. Since Green Valley Lake sits at 7,100 feet, storms come in quickly, and we do receive copious amounts of snow in wintertime. Chains and/or 4-wheel drive vehicles are necessary. Please take caution on the outdoor staircase at the cottage and in driveway, as snow and ice can be slippery. Be mindful of snow sliding off our metal roof in winter, and pine cones falling from trees in Autumn. This is our life in the mountains. Come and experience for a moment in time all that we love and enjoy.
