A warm and creative home in the small fishing village of Dverberg. The perfect base for traveling around the Vesterålen and Lofoten islands by car, relaxing or writing a novel - or whatever you would like.
Walking distance to grocery store, charming café, authentic pub, the sea, and even a motor bike museum (the one furthest north in the world).
Welcome to my house!
Dverberg is a small village with 200 inhabitants. The village is located in the middle of the east coast of Andøya, Norway's 7th largest island.
Dverberg is a great base for exploring Vesterålen and Lofoten by car. But it is also a place worth visiting itself.
In Dverberg you can find (amongst other pearls):
- Maybe the worlds most charming café and soap factory (URL HIDDEN)
My mother runs it, and makes hand made soap with local natural ingredients. She is also famous for her cinnamon rolls. Lokal people drive hours to get them.
- A Motorbike museum (the one furthest north in the world)
- A very special fabric shop/museum that has original treasures from the 60s and up until nowadays. If you are a found of vintage prints - its THE place to be (URL HIDDEN)
- A charming pub hosting artists for concerts now and then
- The sea - ask someone by the harbor to take you with them
- A children's theatre running since 1981 offering tours in the amazing costume department if you meet in the fabric shop
In Andøya you can also find:
-Spaceship Aurora, a museum for the northern light and space science
-Nortun Gård, a fabulous farm with its own hand made cheese - and lamas!
-Surfing opportunities in Aloha Surfing
-Puffin Safari - you name it.
The rest of Vesterålen and the more famous Lofoten is known for its stunning nature. Its the perfect scene for mountain hiking, biking, climbing, surfing, yoga...
My favorite places in Lofoten and Vesterålen must be:
- Hovden, Bø i Vesterålen
BUT most importantly - there is this magically beautiful beach in Andøya, my favorite place on this entire planet (of what I have seen so far). It is called Høyvika, and you can only go there by crossing a small mountain first. Drive to the very edge of Stave (north part), and look for the signs, or people to ask.
It is worth the whole visit, I promise.
In the house:
I have a huge shower that looks like a space ship. It has place for to in a jacuzzi like thing that even has a steam sauna. Go for it!
I also have a TV and Netflix, HBO, Sumo... if the weather gets really bad.
If its sunny you could stay or eat outside in my wilderness like garden.
If you need tea, coffee or spices - go a head and help your self with what you find.
There is also a washing machine and a dish washer.
And there is enough space for more than 6 if someone is fine with staying on a sofa.
My internet is well functioning.
I have a lot of nice books - you can pretend like going to the library.
Or if you like playing music, I have some nice instruments that you can borrow - this can be your chance of starting a band?!

You can call me or my mother if you need any help, and we will do our very best :)
I'm a theatre and stage art maker from Andøy. Last year I managed to buy a house in my hometown, Dverberg. With my kind of work I have to travel a lot, and my house is often a bit lonely.
Come keep company with my cosy cosy crib.
My mother will help you find your way, and make sure everything is nice and clean when you arrive.
