Small basic cabin in the mountains a bit like camping with a roof, a wood burner and some great views, its cosy remote very private and surrounded by the Glen Affric Nature reserve.
Visitors Have to travel up FOUR miles of dirt track to reach the cabin, so not for the faint hearted, but is definitely worth the trip.
We have no mains electric and the cabin only has electric when the generator is running from about 5pm till 11pm.
Horse riding and trout fishing on site, hillwalking all around.
we run a ponytrekking centre from the croft, so plenty of opportunity to get on one of our very friendly and gentle highland pony's or coloured cobs. There is a pond on the croft full of brown trout or the more adventurous could go to one of the hill lochs for a chance at a bigger trout.
we are surrounded by the Glen Affric nature reserve so excellent opportunities for spotting red squirrel, crested tits, crossbills, or Golden Eagles.
Please read this listing carefully and study the photographs to avoid disappointment or confusion, please follow instructions for getting here closely. Do not rely on satellite navigation as it will not get you here. please research the Scottish Midges before booking as if the weather suits them they may well be here.
The cabin is placed in a hilly field with fine views up to the mountains, you can drive to the cabin and park right beside it but the road is a bit bumpy but perfectly passable for any cars.
The parking area can be a bit muddy especially after heavy rain.
Guests have the use of the whole cabin and only your own group will be in it at any one time.
The bunk beds in the back bedroom are fairly small so are best for children or adults that don't mind the cosiness of a small room.
The room is quite small so very tall people might find it a bit cramped.
