I live in a large spacious house with large gardens and the most fantastic views out over the West Shore and Conwy Estuary towards the Snowdonia Mountain range. It is located in the Great Orme Country Park, Llandudno in North Wales.
The house is my "on going" project - it is not luxurious but it is clean, comfortable and welcoming. I have a large double bedroom to let with a king size bed,(a single raised airbed is available for a 3rd person if required). The room was newly refurbished (June 2013), it is split level with the bed on the lower floor and a seating area (or 2nd bed if required ) above. The room is light and airy and has the best views in Llandudno. There is a private bathroom adjacent to the the room (as good as en-suite) and a private lounge for your use downstairs with TV and a Log Fire..
A light Breakfast is available at an additional price of £5 per person (please let me know in advance if you require breakfast).
There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room and please help yourself to tea and coffee from the kitchen at any time. You may wish join us for an evening meal at a small extra cost (depends whats cookin) or feel free to cook up a storm for yourself (in the other kitchen).
We have 3 dogs and a parrot, they are all very friendly and well behaved (most of the time!).
I have traveled extensively over the years, but have never been one for the package holiday deal - I wish airbnb was around years ago. I love the idea and so I am offering a friendly, affordable, home from home accommodation in the Queen of Welsh Resorts.
Llandudno is a very popular Welsh Resort which lies between the Little Orme and the Great Orme with 2 lovely beaches, the North Shore with it's Victorian Promenade and Pier and the quiet, sandy West Shore. The town is unique in that it has maintained it's Victorian and Edwardian elegance and splendor despite its modern attractions. The whole area is steeped in history - we have more Castles than you can shake a stick at, the Victorian Orme Tramway and the Great Orme Copper Mines which date back 4,000 years to the Bronze age are just 5 mins walk from the house. If you like the great outdoors the Snowdonia National Park is only a 30 mins drive away or simply walk through the garden gate into the Great Orme Country Park and follow miles of nature trails with the most fantastic scenery and flora and fauna - some of which is unique to the Great Orme, and of course the Orme Goats who's ancestors were a gift to Queen Victoria from the Shah of Persia.
Llandudno boasts 2 Golf Courses (and also a 9 hole pitch and put right next door to the house). The town centre is just 10 mins walk from the house where you will find lots of Restaurants (approx 25), lots of great pubs, a Theatre, Museum, Art Gallery etc etc - the list is endless. Please check the "Guidebook" at the top of the page for more info on some of the local attractions.
This area is also renown for some of the best sunsets in the UK - take a look at some of my sunset pics, all taken from the house / Garden.
For the more adventurous there are lots of exhilarating activities to try in Snowdonia; Rock Climbing, White Water Rafting, The Worlds fastest Zip Wire, The Worlds longest Zip Wire, Fast Rib Rides, Surfing, Giant Trampolines and Slides in underground slate caverns, - check out the photos !!
There really is something for everyone, so if you are thinking of a trip to North Wales please get in touch, I look forward to hearing from you, better still - meeting you.
Please get in touch for weekly or monthly discounted rates.
There is a lounge with Sky TV and a log fire for your private use.
The other kitchen has everything you will need, including fridge freezer, cooker, microwave and a dishwasher.
The garden is huge - feel free to roam, have a barbecue, or just sit and admire the view.
Unfortunately the room is not suitable for people with mobility problems as it is on the top floor (2 flights of stairs).
Not suitable for young children.
Enjoy Your Stay and please make yourself at home.
No Smoking upstairs - however smoking is OK downstairs in 1 lounge and in the conservatory.
You must like pets - it is their home too, but I'm sorry to say that there is no room for any more so I'm afraid you will have to leave yours at home.
Clean bed linen will be will be provided weekly and towels as required.
I have spent many years living and working abroad, I am now lucky enough to live in a fantastic spot in a lovely part of the world which has cured my wanderlust. I still work away in the West Indies for 6 months of the year, but spend the other 6 months chilling at home in Wales.
I am outgoing and friendly and enjoy good company, good food, good wine, pottering about in the garden in the summer, DIY-ing around the house in the winter and walking on the Orme and the beach with the dogs.
