Well, this assessment is pretty torn: this appartment has a great location and is nearby everything in the very heart of Lisbon's Bairro Alto. The room with a view to the river was also clean and as described in the ad. However, and that results in some minus points in our view, this is no real Airbnb, rather a hostel with bad equipment and a lack of cleanness. There were 4 rooms for 8 people plus kitchen and two bathrooms. This was not made clear in the ad and frankly we would have expected otherwise. It makes a difference if you live with a host (like a faked Maria who does not exist in this case) or if you were just thrown in some appartment with 6 others who do not care about cleanness and if the 'hostel manager' is not motivated to take care of this as well. To be clear, our room was clean, but that did not apply to the kitchen and the bathroom, in particular the ladder was disgusting (though we have to concede that this was partly caused by some disgusting (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) but not cleaning the room for 5 days does not mitigate this). Also, during our stay one bathroom was out of order which makes it difficult to get a slot in there when you require it. Another disadvantage were the bad kitchen facilities, since there was no stove and no oven (apart from some other smaller things like a proper knife). How should you cook without these essentials (and a microwave does not really improve this). All in all, given the great choice of rooms you have in Lisbon we would not recommend to stay here.
