We were greeted by a colleague of Nikos, Kostantino, at a nearby cafe, Desiderio, which is just down the street and has wifi and decent(+) coffee. Kostantino was very nice, easy to communicate with, spoke English well and made many recommendations about food in the area. The place was spotless and the fridge was stocked with some cheese and cold cuts, bread and wine, they also left us some jams and butter, very kind welcoming. Although the terrace is private, you have to exit from the front door and walk up some stairs to get to it, therefor people on the street, and the elementary school facing the apartment (you can hear the kids), can see you. The terrace is equipped with a table and some chairs, as well as two long chairs under some shade, that was nice. The jacuzzi is in a corner half facing a concrete wall and on the other side, there is an alleyway where we regularly saw kids running around. There were some people on the roof who could see us in the hot tub. The town, Emporio, is very quiet and there is not much to do, mostly locals. Quieter than Thira, if that's what you are looking for.
