Downtown Mtn View is very close.
A public park with a pool is across the street.
Shared room (bunk beds) with up to 4 or 6 people in one room or 6 in the other. (Note: Pictures are old in terms of depictions of # of beds in rooms.)
Guests are mainly techfolks** and we try to keep this home more focused on quiet discussions and work, than partying. But we have no problem heading downtown for that on weekends.

This is a short term sublet by downtown Mtn. View. It is next to Eagle Park and the town swimming pool and a few blocks from Castro St. (town's main st.) which is packed with restaurants, bars, shops.
Library is about 4 blocks away.
15min walk to Mtn. View Caltrain station to get to SFO, San Francisco, near-SJC, San Jose.
Home is 3bdrm w/ bunk beds.

Wifi / printer usage available in living room.
Password is on the fridge.
Mellow, very uncluttered home.
Full kitchen privileges.
Pay washer/dryer available.
Shoes off in the house.
All personal belonging should be kept in closet space, on your bed, or under bunkbed. (Unless you are renting private room.)
You will be allotted cupboard space. Don't leave dishes in the sink. Wipe down counter-tops, if you leave a mess. Basic group living.
Despite the rough tone of these last few sentences, the home is pretty darn mellow.
Check-in before 8pm on first night, please. Or, be prepared to tiptoe into your room.
Pool across the streets costs ~$5 per swim session.
I prefer to have desks cleared when no one is working on them, so that others may use them.
i.e. With many people in the house, don't setup shop for a week at one of the desk stations, and monopolize it.
There are plenty of coffee shops in the area, as well as the Mtn. View public library which is about a 5min walk away.
- I try to keep a quiet house. We will have probably one house party during the summer, but otherwise I ask people to respect the quiet and to wear headphones in the house when the listen to music or play games.
- No shoes in the house. .... although, after 8 years of this, somehow the carpets have become very worn out.
