Hi i'm Alasdair. I live with my wife Shirley and together we run Sydney House Bed and Breakfast in Cromarty.
We are both locals and Sydney House has been in the family since the 1930's. We can help with lots of local information.
We returned to Cromarty in 1999 to bring up our children in the Highlands after living in Glasgow, London and Buckingham. I have had a variety of jobs from working in industry to primary school teaching.
I love gardening, cycling, walking, reading, music and films. In the picture we are at the legendary Bealach na Ba (the pass of the cattle in Gaelic) a spectacular single track mountain road in the west coast of Ross-shire.
We look forward to welcoming you to Sydney House and helping you to get to know Cromarty and the beautiful Black Isle.
