Our home is a clean and bright family home with wooden floors, a peaceful garden and sunny kitchen. We're on a friendly street in lively East Oxford - just 2 minutes walk from cosmopolitan Cowley road, 2 minutes from the river and 15 minutes walk into town. Come and love it too!
Our bright and sunny home is a peaceful and welcoming space - yet is minutes from anything you could possibly need.
The downstairs is an open plan, bright space. The front of the house is the living area, with two comfy sofas - one which is a large futon that turns into a comfy double bed - a wood burner, and a dining area with a table that can seat up to 6 (as we only have 6 chairs!).
There's a glass walled room with a skylight ceiling which is currently set up as a playroom.
Our kitchen is the place we spend all our time. It's a large, bright and airy space with walnut wood work surfaces, everything you'd need to cook with, and skylights and windows allowing the light to pour in. There's a small sofa that you can sit on while others cook (!) or watch the clouds above go by through the skylights.
The kitchen opens onto the garden, with patio doors leading onto the decking. The garden is a peaceful haven despite being close enough to Oxford city centre to sometimes be able to hear the church bells from the colleges! It's not immaculately polished but it's a lovely space to enjoy the English sunshine (when we have some!), picnic outside or just have a cup of tea under the apple tree (as long as it's not the autumn when apples might be falling off!).
Upstairs there's a family bathroom with a freestanding bath, newly installed shower and toilet.
There's a front bedroom with a kingsize bed, large wardrobe and windows overlooking the Victorian terraces and the street below. There's also our baby daughter's nursery room which we aren't planning to be used, but can be made into a single room on request.
Up another flight of narrower but proper stairs there is a large double room with a skylight and large windows overlooking the gardens of East Oxford.
It's our home so we'll have things around that you can help yourself too. All we ask is that you look after it like you would your own house!
We do have some toys - a growing collection for our currently 8 month old daughter - and books etc that you are more than welcome to borrow, as well as a picnic hamper, all the kitchen utensils you could ever want, and many more things in between!

We will be around to welcome anyone who comes to stay as much as possible and give them some tips on the local area, show them how things work and generally check you're settling in ok. We've been lucky enough to travel quite a lot ourselves and love meeting people from down the road or across the seas!
If we can't be there in person ourselves for some reason, my lovely mum lives around the corner so it'll be her instead!
This is a terraced house so please be aware of our lovely neighbours.
We have bicycles if you want to borrow them.
It's our family home so please look after it. And if you could take off your shoes like we do we'd love it!
Our community and neighbours are lovely so please, keep noise to a minimum and no parties - just head out to the bars round the corner instead!
